Times passed like this. You both loved each other madly.
A Year Later.
On Call:
Alisha: Where are you? I'm waiting for an hour now.
Ajey: I'm outside the restaurant. Parking the car. Will be there in a minute.
Alisha: Okay. Come fast.
You were out for some work in the morning. In evening, you told Ajey to meet you at the restaurant. He came in and saw you sitting on a corner table.
Ajey: Hey.. [Smiles]
Alisha: There you are. Where were you? [Scoffs]
Ajey: Traffic you know.
Alisha: What do you wanna eat?
Ajey: Whatever you like.
Alisha: Done. Paneer.
Ajey: Wow.. When did you start eating paneer? [laughs]
Alisha: It's your favourite.. So.. [Puts down menu]
Ajey: Ahem... [Winks]
You called the waiter and placed order.
Ajey: So how was your day?
Alisha: Good. [Looks down]
Ajey: What happened babe? Why you seem so off today?
Alisha: Ajey... I.. I told you on call that I wanna talk to you.
Ajey: About what? Kids? [Chuckles]
Alisha: I'm serious Ajey.
Ajey: Okay.. Sorry Sorry. Tell me what's the matter?
Alisha: Ajey.. I..
Ajey: What happened? [Suspiciously]

Alisha: Ajey... I want divorce. [Emotional]
Ajey: What? [Stands up]
Alisha: Ajey.. Please.. Sit..
Ajey: Alisha are you pranking me?
Alisha: I'm being serious Ajey. I'm serious. I want divorce.
Ajey: Bu.. But what happened? Did I do something wrong? [Holds your hand]
Alisha: No.. You.. You did nothing... I'm just... Huh.. I don't know.. What to say. [Sighs]
Ajey: Why Alisha? Just Why? I loved you more than myself and now this? Do you even know what you're saying?
Tears started streaming down his face as he heard that you want divorce.
Alisha: Ajey.. Things have changed and I.. I really can't keep it up with you anymore.. I just.. I just don't feel the same way about you now.. [Looks away]
Ajey: Do you love someone else?
Alisha: Wha.. What? What did you say? [Shocked]
Ajey: I said do you love someone else? [Shouts]
Alisha: Ajey.. Stop behaving like this..
Ajey: Just tell me if you love someone else. Then it will be more easy for me to hate you. Give me some fuckin' reason so that I can hate you even more. [Shouts louder]
Alisha: I can't give you reasons.
Ajey: Why? You'll have to. I need to know whom else you're in love with. Because of him you're leaving me, right? [Shouts again]
Alisha: Ajey please calm down..
Ajey: What Alisha? I can't fuckin'calm myself down. Do you even know what this means? [Slams hand on table]
People around, started staring at you both. You were trying to calm him down but he wasn't. He was continuously yelling at you in anger. You listened to every word of him and then politely spoke.
Alisha: I just don't love you anymore.
You took your purse and started to leave. He came in your way and tried to stop you.
Ajey: Hey.. Hey.. Alisha please.. We can sort it out right? Please stop.. [Crying]
Alisha: I'm sorry Ajey. But I can't give you any reasons to hate me... But yeah.. I don't love you. [Tries to leave]
Ajey: Alisha.. Please.. I love you.. Don't do this to me.. [Holds even more tighter]
Alisha: Let me go Ajey.. Nothing's left now.
You walked away and Ajey was standing right there, where you left him. He sat down on chair with head in his hands, just crying and crying.
Later that night, you came home. The lights were off. Everything was distorted. Glasses were shattered on the floor.
You went upstairs and started searching for Ajey. Finally you got him. He was standing in the balcony, staring at the moon. Clearly he didn't seem well.
You went there and stood beside him.
Ajey: Why did you do this to me?
You could hear the pain in his voice. His eyes were red because of crying. You remained silent at his words.
Ajey: All this time, I thought you loved me too.. But it was all just a drama, right? I thought I had found the one. I considered myself lucky to have you. I wanted to have a family of my own. But I never asked what you wanted. You wanted divorce.
Alisha: Ajey.. It's not..
Ajey stepped closer towards you. Cutting you off, he said
Ajey: Mistake is mine.. I loved you blindly. You don't deserve it. [Looks into your eyes]
He walked away. You were just standing there frozen.
The next day, you signed the divorce papers and gave that to Ajey. You guys didn't even talk for the last time. You took your stuff and your bags and started leaving.
Ajey was standing right upstairs and was just watching you leaving him.
You didn't even looked behind. You didn't even have tears in your eyes. But the pain, through which Ajey was going through, was just extreme and killing.
