Chapter 9 - Reunion

Anthony's parents left the following week, stating that they will make the preparations for their wedding. They are to be at Aubrey Hall in two months, so Penelope can get fitted for her wedding dress and present the children to the rest of the Bridgerton family.

During the next two months, Anthony made plans and completed the arrangements with Mr. Jones 'David' Marie's husband, as they are expecting their first child in a few months. Marie will be six months when Penelope and Anthony leave to go to Aubrey Hall for their wedding. They will be away for two months and Penelope wanted to be back when Marie had her baby.

When Penelope and Anthony, along with the triplets, arrived at Aubrey Hall, all the Bridgerton families were outside waiting for them. Even Daphne and Simon were there, too. Daphne looks pregnant, around five or six months.

Anthony has Rhys in his arms and passed her to his mother and then took Ethan from Penelope and passed him to his father. He helped Penelope out of the carriage and then took the Conroy from the maid who accompanied them in the carriage and then took Penelope's hand as they walked toward the family.

Daphne came over and took Conroy from Anthony's arms. He smiled at Daphne's expression when she held him.

"So, Daphne, how far along are you?" Penelope asked her, smiling.

Daphne, still looking at Conroy.  "About five months. After hearing about you guys, I just had to have one too, so I convinced Simon, and behold, it didn't take long," smiling as she looked up at them.

Simon walked towards her and put his arm around her shoulder with an expression of, "Like I had a choice," Anthony and Penelope laughed.

"Come on, let's get into the house," motioned Violet for them to follow. They all walked after her into the house.

Simon was patting Anthony on the back and said, "Well, well. Who would have thought that you 'Anthony' would be married and with triplets," he said shaking his head laughing?

Anthony replied, "Well, sure didn't take you long to follow with a baby, did it?" raising his eyebrows at Simon.

"Don't go there, you know your sister. Once an idea enters her head there is no talking her out of it," he stated matter of fact.

They all entered the main room, Benedict and Colin were sitting on the couch talking and stopped to look when they entered. They stood up and went over to see the triplets and were smiling while making cooing noises.

Anthony and Penelope were advised to help themselves to food on the table. They were both tired and hungry from the long ride.

Benedict walked over to Anthony and Penelope who were helping themselves to food, "Congratulations to you two. Let's say it was a surprise when Mom and Dad showed us your letter, Anthony. Shock does not come close," he said with raised eyebrows with a smirk on his lips.

"We were surprised ourselves having triplets. We knew we were going to have twins but when the third one came, let's just say, everyone was shocked, especially when I delivered her" Anthony stated looking at Penelope as a proud father.

During the next couple of weeks before the wedding, Penelope was being fitted for her wedding dress and accessories. They enjoyed their time with the family and after their wedding, they will be heading back to Sutton.

Some guests were arriving a week before the wedding and one family especially was making Penelope nervous awaiting their arrival. Her parents were coming to stay with them at Aubrey Hall and she has not seen or heard from them since she left almost a year now.
