Basically they are at a royal ball in like a castle (an au I guess)

3rd person POV:

It was the night of the ball

Everything was so beautiful, and he felt at peace

People danced around Travis as he waited for his princess.

Well she wasn't an actual princess but he wanted her to feel that way

He stood nervously at the bottom of stairs and saw his brother coming over to him

"Hey Travis"

Travis adjusted his tie before responding to Connor

"Hey"

"You waiting for Katie?"

He nodded and looked to the top of the stairs to if she was there yet

She wasn't.

Connor continued and said "Come on I want you to meet Miranda, Katie's sister"

They walked over to Miranda and started talking

"-yea Katie has told me a lot about Travis"

He had been kind of distracted because he kept looking to see if Katie had arrived

"Travis?"

Travis turned his head to look at Connor

"Hm?"

"Did you hear anything we said?"

Travis shook his head and started "No sorry I-"

Then he saw her

Katie Gardener, beautiful as ever

She wore a dark green ball gown and tiny gold flowers were braided into her hair

As she started walking down the stairs, Travis started also walking towards her so that he could take her hand and lead her to the dance floor

She looked like a goddess as she glided down the flight of stairs

Travis met her as she reached the last step and took her hand

"Hi beautiful"

"Hi Trav"

He kissed her hand and pulled her onto the dance floor

I used to hear a simple song
That was until you came along

She rested her one hand on his shoulder and the other with still in his left hand

One of his arms wrapped around her waist as they stared dancing

Now in its place is something new
I see it when I look at you

They danced just like the other couples did

Everyones movement in the ball room seemed to be in sync

As they danced the night away, Travis starred down at his princess lovingly

With simple songs
I wanted more
Perfections is so quick to bore

Travis pulled Katie close and whispered to her

"You look so beautiful tonight"

Katie lifted her head from his shoulder and said "No I don't"

He softly kissed her forehead and said "Don't say that. Your the most beautiful girl in this room"

"You think too highly of me"

"I don't think highly enough of you"

Katie pulled him down so that she could kiss him

It was a simple kiss but it meant so much

I used to hear a simple song
That was until you came along

And now I hear a symphony

Travis twirled Katie and the brought her closer to him as he rested his chin on top of her head

He loved her so much

"I love you Travis"

"I love you more Katie"

And now I hear a symphony

As the song ended he dipped Katie and they started to walk out of the ball room

Katie led Travis to her room in the castle so that they could change out of their formal clothes

She changed into her black silk nightgown and her sage green robe

Travis was still fully dressed and Katie started walking over to him

"Why don't you get changed?"

"Oh I thought you just wanted me to walk you to your room, I didn't know you wanted me to stay"

Katie gave him a light kiss and said "Can you please stay here?"

"Only for my Katie-Kat"

After he got changed Katie was already laying in her bed

Travis laid down next to her and pulled her to him

Now her back was against his chest and his face was nuzzled into her neck

He placed a soft kiss on her neck, mumbled "I love you" and fell asleep

Katie loved being in his arms, she just felt safe and loved

Hi again! I don't know how I feel about this one

But hopefully this makes up for my not posting for like 3 weeks
