"Oh." Grandma looked at me now with much seriousness.

"So will you please help me?" I asked.

"Well," Grandma motioned me to scoot closer to her. "You know of the portal to the human world, correct?"

I nodded wondering were this could be headed.

"Well, if you're that desperate to find your fairytale." She took a deep breath, "then you need to open the portal and go inside."

"What?!" I yelped in confusion. All fairytale characters were forbidden to enter the human world. Only the members of the royal party were aloud to travel back and forth.

"Rose, calm down. There are rumors of dark magic in the human world that shouldn't be there." Grandma said.

"Then why should I be in charge of that! Can't the King's Knights get rid of that?! That's there job isn't it?!" I was beyond confused I need answers! I just wanted something simple! Not go off to an unknown world and fight dark magic!

"That's the thing Rose," Grandma got a haunted look in her eyes, "the King in behind all of it."

I couldn't think. The king?! Why would he do something like that?! But I didn't doubt Grandma, she was always right.

"Okay." I said finally, "I'll do it."

Her eyes got all clear again, "Good. Now you'll need this." She handed me a brown leather book. "This will tell you anything you need to know. Just think of a question and open the book. Of course it won't tell you the deepest, darkest secrets but it will tell you a lot. Especially about a land you don't belong it. Also you will need this," she got up get to her back room and came back with a gleaming, sword. "It will keep you safe."

"Oh no Grandma I can't accept this." I said as she put it in my hands, "no I can't, this is all to much."

"Your father would want you to have it." She placed it in my hands again. It was beautiful, the long gleaming blade with sharp to the touch, with delegate designs on it. The hilt had two roaring Lions on it. The symbol of my family.

I put it in the sheath on my back. "Thank you." I said with the book in my hand and sword on my back I was ready to go.

"Oh! One more thing!" She went back to the sewing room. She came back and draped a beautiful black cloak around me, "it can turn into any type of clothing you'd like. It can also disguise you. When you get to the human world go and call this number. A good friend of mine with help you and give you a place to stay."

"Thank you so much Grandma." I said now not doubting my future. "I will find the dark magic and destroy it!"

"Alright good luck Rose." She kissed my cheek.

I headed out the door, "oh what are you still doing here!" I said outraged.

"Oh still just waiting for you so I can escort you home. I can see you received a few toys." The annoying blonde haired kid was leaning against his horse.

"I don't need escorting home because I'm not going home." I started to walk away towards the portal.

"Oh running way! That sounds dangerous let me come!" He was now on his horse.

"No!" I shouted behind me not bothering to turn around.

"Why? Where are you going?" He was right beside me.

"I'm going to the human world."

He halted,"The human world?! Are you nuts?! That's crazy!"

"Maybe I am but I'm going to find my fairytale!" I started walking faster with determination.

"Okay, okay fair enough. Let me come with you! We have the same goal and you could use a handsome escort."

"No!" I said again now agitated.

"Why not?! It will take you at least three days to get to the portal and I can get you there one day on horse!"

"No!" I said again with my last string of patience.

"Well you asked for it." And before I knew it I was being picked up, "hold on tight."

We were galloping at high speed toward the portal. The wind stung my face and my arms were tight around the boy. We were going fast and I soon started to relax and loosened my grip but as soon as I did, we went faster. The boy turned around and winked at me.

After what seemed like hours, we stopped. I ungratefully got off the horse and wobbled around. "Now that wasn't to bad was it?" The boy asked.

"Yes! It was horrendous! You're such a stupid, selfish boy!" I was leaning against a tree trying to calm my breath.

"Hunter. It's Hunter." He started to untack his horse.

"Well, Hunter." I spit out bitterly, "thank you! No thank you for that!"

"You're welcome." He gave a gallery bow.

I got my bearings and headed to the alter. I looked behind my shoulder, Hunter was starring at me with puppy eyes. "Fine. You can come." He jumped up happily and bounded over to me.

"I knew you couldn't resist." He leaned down and kissed my cheek. I glared at him and started the ritual to open the portal.

"You might want to disguise your pony." I said snickering. "Hey!" I said when he knocked me in the back.

I took out the sword that Grandma gave me, "whoa, whoa, whoa! No need to get mad at him." Hunter exclaimed.

I just glared at him. I cut my hand and let the blood drip on the alter. The shimmery gold blood of the fairytale people immediately disappeared as soon as it hit the cold rock surface. Then a Sparkly portal showed up, it showed the other side with tall sky scraping buildings. Looking at Hunter I took a deep breath and stepped in.
