Burning Love (a Horatio Caine Love Story)

A step in the right direction.

A/n this one is a short filler chapter.

Whilst the B.A.U team went back over the evidence of the George Johnson case,me and H went to see what information we have-if any on Amanda Wroth.H got a lab tech to run Amanda's name threw the system to see if her name is linked with any cases or anything else.Whilst H is looking threw a old file I ask.

"H,do you think Amanda would try to kill me next?"
"Honestly Liz...I don't know" Horatio says,putting down the file and looking at me
"I know Amanda vowed revenge on us...I just never thought she would turn into a killer" I admit
"What did Amanda actually say?" Horatio asks,I thought about it for a few moments
"I think she said'One way or another you will all pay for this betrayal"

"That sounds like a threat to me" H says
"Now it does,but at the time I thought it was just empty words" I say
"Do you know where Jessica is?" H asks
"No I don't,the last time I saw her was at her brothers funeral" I say,at that moment the lab tech came back to us
"What can you tell us?" Horatio asks.

"Well there isn't anything major on Amanda Wroth,there are only small things like speeding fines and D.U.I's" the tech says
"Okay thank you" I say,we left the lab and headed down a corridor in silence. I am trying to think why Amanda would do this.I hadn't noticed H was talking to me,until I felt a hand on my arm.

I stopped walking and look at H
"Elizabeth, I want you to know that if you ever need to talk,you can always come to me"
"Thanks H,I appreciate it" I say smiling at him,H pulls me to him and hugs me.Whilst in the embrace H says to me quietly
"No matter what happens in this case, I will not let Amanda harm you."
