Marinette throws her bookbag down on the chaise and falls back on her desk chair while spinning around on the chair. She lets out a sigh while combing her hands through her hair.
"Today has been crazy Tikki! I almost thought we wouldn't be able to defeat Hawkmoth today. His villains just keep on getting better and stronger."
Tikki flys over to Marinette and laughs.
"You got this Marinette even though Hawkmoth is getting better so are you. You and Chat Noir got this!" Tikki hugs Marinette's face while smiling.
"Thank you Tikki." Marinette laughs but slowly turns into a frown.
"I need to talk to Chat tomorrow he keeps messing around and we don't have time for silly games anymore." Tikki nods while Marinette looks at the time on her phone: 10:48 pm.
"It's late Tikki and I have a big history test tomorrow." Tikki flys over to Marinette's pillow while Marinette starts turning off the lights. As she's about to turn of the last light she hears a knock at the roof door: Chat Noir.
"Tikki hide!!" Marinette whisper yells to Tikki while Tikki hides in Marinette's bookbag. Marinette climbs up to her bed and unlocks the door for Chat Noir.
"Hey Kitty" Marinette says while laughing, "Kinda late night tonight."
"Yeah well just out fighting villains and all." Chat says while flexing his muscles.
"Today's villain was extra difficult." Chat says helping Marinette onto the roof. Marinette rolls her eyes,
"I know right- I mean I know right I saw it all on the news. Ladybug seemed to be extra tired tonight."
Chat takes a seat on the chair and Marinette sits on the little end table.
"I could tell I felt bad for her. Anyway I brought the video games if you are down to play for a little bit. I know it's late but I was looking forward all day to playing with you." Chat says giving Marinette puppy dog eyes. Marinette laughs while taking one of the Nintendo DS' from Chat Noir.
"You know I can't say no to those eyes Kitty."
"I know Princess that's why I used them" Chat says laughing. Chat and Mari agree to play Mario Kart. After a while of Marinette getting mad over losing to Chat multiple times and Chat teasing her about it they realize it's now almost 2 am.
"Shoot Kitty it almost 2 am and I have a big test tomorrow." Marinette says getting up and opening the roof door. Chat gets up and helps Marinette back inside then climbs inside locking the door back up. He climbs to the floor and moves her bookbag to her desk chair so he has a place to sleep. Marinette hands him a pillow and some blankets and they both lay down for bed right after Chat turns off the last light. As Marinette is about to fall asleep Chat's voice breaks the silence.
"So how are you and your crush doing?" Marinette made sure not to let Chat know who her crush is (one) because he's her partner and it feels weird for her knowing he knows and (two) she took down all Adrien's photos a few months ago when Chat started coming around more often. She didn't want him thinking she was obsessed.
"I don't know I can barely talk around him and I think he thinks I'm weird." Chat Noir sighs.
"You should try and ask him out tomorrow and I'll be right here after school so you can tell me how it goes. You got this Princess"
Marinette smiles but then looks over her bed to see Chat staring back at her.
"You think so, I don't know. I guess I'll try. Anyway how are you and Ladybug doing?" Marinette says changing the subject. Chat Noir shrugs and turns to the side.
"I'm not sure, I mean I'll always love her but she already told me there's someone else. I wouldn't blame her how could we even date we're superheroes that don't even know each other in real life." Marinette goes dead silent and lays on her back looking and the ceiling. She whispers for only herself to hear,
"We do know each other.." Marinette sighs.
"I'm sorry Kitty"
"Don't be sorry Princess it's not your fault. It's getting late and you have a test tomorrow. Goodnight Princess."
"Goodnight Kitty." Marinette smiles to herself before the weight she was using to keep her eyes open gives in and she falls asleep.
