HRC 7: Courage
"Let's go home, (Y/N)," Suna called the (H/C)-haired girl who was bowing to their teammates. He smiled, and thought about the first day when the girl didn't have friends or anyone to talk to. He was glad that she was opening up to their teammates, especially when he never thought that his female friend would befriend the people who had made a big impact on him in his highschool life or rather, his entire life. (Y/N) meekly waved her hand at them and walked beside the brunette.
"S-Sorry for making you... wait, S-Suna-san," (Y/N) apologized. I'm sorry for not talking to you earlier, too. Her mind reminisced the events of the practice match in Miyagi earlier, and as she recalled it, she couldn't remember talking to her first friend in Inarizaki at all. her head looking down in shame. Seeing her downcast expression made Suna furrow his eyebrows in concern. As if reading her thoughts, his hand smoothly flew to her head to ruffle her (H/C) locks.
Sighing, the middle blocker pinched her cheek. "Don't be an idiot. Although you didn't talk to me earlier, I was still glad that you were interacting with other people than me. I gotta admit that I was happy to see the friend you were talking about who turned out to be one of the top-three aces in the country." Just smile, you dork. He stopped walking and pulled her cheeks. "Come on now, stop with that face, you do know that better than anyone else, I don't like seeing you hurt," he told her.
Pouting, the manager growled like a tiny pup. "I-I'm not hurt...! J-Just sad!" She denied, a light blush appearing on her cheeks. Suna laughed at her statement and let go of her cheeks, refraining from making her uncomfortable with him. And, he was glad that they can joke around each other now. At first, they were just talking and being silent at some times. Even so, he appreciated it a lot. As long as he was with her, it was fine with him.
"Oh, and why are you sad?" Suna teased her with a smirk.
"T-That's because... I... I...!" (Y/N) covered her face. "No... I c-can't do it...!" She shook her head.
The middle blocker held her right hand to uncover her face, his mischievous smirk still present on his face. "Really~? How come I can see such red color on your face though? Why not try saying the truth, Miss (Y/N)," he continued to tease her, causing the girl to blow a fuse and fall on the ground. He was taken aback, but he helped her up, still laughing. He stretched his arms and sighed. "Hah...! Now my exhaustion is gone after talking to you," Suna said.
