Lisa's Pov
When I got home, they were all on the couch, staring at me questionably. Jisoo raised her eyebrows and shot me a knowing look as if she already knew what I did and it definitely creeped me out. Rosé was looking at me like a kid waiting for answers. Jennie, however, was looking at me... more like glaring at me. I don't even know why they're like this, but I wanna laugh so hard.
I let out a quiet chuckle and breathe out a "What?"
Jennie rolled her eyes and grabbed the tv remote while letting out a scoff, "Nothing" was all she uttered.
I nodded and started walking towards my room but stopped when Rosé spoke.
"Are you going to watch the penthouse with us or not?" Rosé asked while pouting
"I'll pass for now, Rosie, and stop pouting. You're not cute," I said, teasing her.
"Yah! I'm not even trying to be cute, I'm just naturally cute, " She said, then proceeded to stick her tongue out.
The audacity of this girl.
"Yeah, yeah, I know," I answered and walked inside my room
I wanna bicker with her more, but I have things to do.
What do you mean 'things to do'?
My mind asks
"What is it to you?" I answered mentally
You did not answer my question
"Well, I...I- why am I even talking to you?"
Just say you want to talk to Joohyun, you don't need to deny.
"Shut up."
After talking to my annoying mind, I showered again and changed into my pyjamas.
As I finished doing my personal necessities, I jumped in my bed. I'm trying to build up some courage to text Joohyun.
What if she ignores me and leaves me on read?
What if she doesn't wanna talk to me?
But if I won't text her, I'm sure I'll regret it.
Fuck it, I'll just text her.
To My Bae:
Hi, this is Lisa from the convenience store earlier. I hope I didn't disturb you right now. I just want to know if this is really your number, hehe. Good evening, btw ^_^
I quickly touch the send button and put my phone down. My phone beeped immediately.
From My Bae:
Hiii, yeah, this is my number. I've been waiting for you to text me since I got home. Can I call you? Good evening, too :)
I automatically smiled after reading her reply. But before I can reply 'sure' for her question, my phone rang. She called me even before I could reply to her.
She's so cute.
I answered the call immediately.
"Hi Lisa," Hearing her voice automatically painted a smile on my face. Her voice is so soothing.
"Hi bae, what are you doing?" I asked, still smiling
"Laying down while talking to you. How about you?" She answered.
"Me? I'm laying down talking to the girl who's making me smile right now, " I answered confidently.
I don't even know where my confidence came from all of a sudden. I just feel like I wanna say that to her.
"Oh yeah? Is she pretty?" She asked in a small voice. Why does she sound so cute with that voice?
"Yes, she's super pretty. The prettiest girl I've ever seen, actually." I answered
It took me a lot to stop myself from shouting because of her cuteness.
"What did she do to make you smile?" She asked.
"I don't know, you tell me," I answered, hugging my pillow.
The other line got silent. And I suddenly got nervous, did I make her uncomfortable? Before I could ask her what was wrong, she cleared her throat.
"Well, I- uhmm...I" My nervousness immediately vanished
"Oh, is the Irene Bae flustered?" I asked teasingly
"S-shut up!" She answered, I know she's blushing right now.
"You're cute," I unknowingly said
"I know," She answered quietly
Then the silence came back again. The silence is comfortable, tho.
"I want to talk and get to know you more Lis, can we see each other tomorrow?" She asked
"Is this your way of asking me to go on a date with you, Bae?" I answered jokingly.
"Well, I don't see any problem with that. Now answer my question," She said seriously
I got flustered at first, but I answered 'sure'.
"Good. Now I want you to pick me up tomorrow in the park near our dorm. I'll text you the address. 5 pm don't be late or I'll punish you. Do you understand?" She demanded
Okay, that was hot.
"Noted ma'am," I answered while saluting.
She giggled at my answer, and I swear to my cats that her giggle is one of the best things I have ever heard.
"Go to sleep now, Lis," She said, and that makes me sad a little bit.
"But I want to talk to you more, Bae," I pouted
"Lis... go to sleep now," She repeated
"But -"
"I'll sing you to sleep, now shut up and close your eyes,"
"Okay," I answered happily, and I closed my eyes.
It's not even that long since our first interaction, but she already has me on a chokehold.
And I kinda like that.
I immediately smiled hearing her sing and humming the song 'paper hearts' slowly. I want to compliment her, but I suddenly feel drowsy. Her voice is so soothing that it makes me sleepy. I don't know how she does that, but I'm thankful, and it'shonestlya privilege to experience this.
The Bae, Joohyun is singing me a song on a call so I could sleep! What an achievement!
I slowly drifted to sleep with a smile on my face.
