Jon
The perfect birthday, that's all Jon had wanted and when the night had begun and he had arrived home from work, that is what he initially thought would happen.
Everything had been set up to be perfect as he stood in his kitchen awkwardly swaying his hips as he danced and whistled to the music blaring loudly in his kitchen.
His excitement ringing at the food being preheated in his oven, Jon had bought enough to feed a village and tonight he would stuff himself like a turkey. That was one of the positives of not having to go out with his friends.
He loved his mates of course but they were too much and way too loud. And he didn't have to love them whilst at home. No tonight was a night of being a slob and stuffing himself.
Within his own apartment he could do just that with his sweatpants on whilst watching his cheesy teen dramas in peace.
The oven was about to ding and Jon rubbed his hands like Birdman in delight at the mouthwatering food, an irony considering the song he was mumbling and whistling to.
'Longclaw strapped when I hit the club..... something something that..... something something stuff. And since I'm paid, bitches be loving me, you know I love em back' he rapped as he took his beef stroganoff out the oven.
He made his way to the couch and set everything up, Netflix on and his meal laid out in front of him. A two litre bottle of Mountain Dew to wash down the junk food that would put him in a coma. He had been eating healthy to keep his figure but it was his birthday so he would splurge.
Jon smiled as the screen played the intro of the show. This was the life, no having to laugh at the unfunny jokes his friends made and endure the company of strangers.
As soon as the XOXO was sounded, disaster struck when his doorbell rang.
'NO!' he screamed in his head and threw the napkin folded on his neck into the ground.
He grumpily trotted to the door unleashing every verbal expletive he could imagine and making his scowl seem unfriendly at whatever wretched soul wanted to take away this evening of lazy bliss.
When he opened the door he saw the blue eyes of his cousin smiling happily along with two other strangers when all three yelled at the same time.
'SURPRISE!'
He shut the door to his bedroom as he practically dragged Robb inside.
His cousin had not stopped smiling and it infuriated him to no end.
'I specifically made it clear to you and the rest of those losers that I wanted to spend my birthday alone' he said in a grumpy tone.
Robb sniffed barely listening to him.
'Aye and I thought that was mighty selfish of you' Robb remarked as he lay on his bed. 'Birthdays are about celebrating with friends and family. Not being alone like a virgin.'
Jon eyed him in disbelief.
'Robb why are you here?' he asked.
Robb sighed.
'Fine, my date is not going well. I asked out this chick in my yoga class...' he cut Robb off before he could continue.
'Wait yoga class?' he questioned in a mocking tone.
Robb rolled his eyes.
'Yes I do yoga; do you think this just happens?' Robb placated as he gestured to his body. 'You should try it.'
