We love writing Dadzawa books while your parents scream at each other for the 10th time that day. It really sets the mood.

Midoriya POV:

After the laughter had died down Izuku felt significantly better.

"You know, this reminds me of the time Iida tried to compliment that waitress and he ended up telling her that her 'personality was satisfactory'. She looked at him like he was crazy," Uraraka recollected. She brought a hand over her mouth to muffle her giggles. Her cheeks turning pink once again.

Iida, or 'filing cabinet boy' as Izuku had dubbed him mentally, did not look nearly as amused. His whole face drained of color. "Uraraka!" he exclaimed. "You can't keep telling everyone that story!"

She didn't pay him the least bit of attention; probably used to his denial. They seemed incredibly close.

"I still don't understand how that was a bad thing," Todoroki said. His red and white locks falling over his face as his gaze darted between the two.

"That's because you have the social skills of a rock," Uraraka stated rather bluntly. It was surprising considering how sweet she appeared to be.

Izuku looked up at Shouta curiously. The man had gone back to his I-don't-want-to-be-here expression, his lips turned down slightly and eyes drooping in boredom. Talk about a one-eighty. The only thing scarier than waking up to strangers wielding magic powers was Shouta's mood swings.

"Was I there?" Izuku asked, bringing his attention back to the little group in front of them.

It was a bit unnerving to ask about oneself like this; completely unaware of his past actions or personality. But somewhere in the midst of Uraraka being mean to filing cabinet boy he had realized he was friends with them, or at least, he wanted to be.

He was addled by his past choices.

Wanna go to a school where you will be forced to fight grown adults that also have powers?

Heck Yeah! Sign me up!

What the Hell?

It all sounded like some illogical story Shouta had made up.

But seeing these people, he was beginning to understand.

"Of course! You were the one that started the Friday night dinner traditions," Iida replied, seemingly relieved Izuku was still talking after his earlier pun. "Todoroki was there too, although that's probably not surprising," Iida continued. "I'm guessing you've already figured out you two are attached at the hip."

Izuku snuck a glance over at Todoroki for confirmation. He felt much shyer around him. He didn't know if it was because of the look he'd gotten from him earlier, or perhaps his subconscious was still wary of the fire wielder.

Todoroki looked...pensive....curious...blank....it was hard to say. Not even his eyes gave away the truth anymore. Apparently, he'd caught onto Izuku psychoanalyzing him. Izuku once again looked away.

"So were we friends before we went to school here?" Izuku asked, looking back at Uraraka.

"Nope! We all met right here on campus! Actually, it's kinda a funny story-"

Izuku became engrossed in her words as she told him about their meeting. How he used to be very awkward back then. He wanted to point out he was awkward now but held his tongue. She went on to describe meeting Iida and the three of them almost instantaneously becoming friends.

He nodded along eagerly, trying to picture it in his mind. Slightly younger versions of the three walking through the halls, training together, whatever it was they used to do.
