As the summer came to an end, I couldn't help but feel bittersweet at the thought of going back to Hogwarts. Of course it was my home, but at the same time, this summer had been one of the best yet; spending all day everyday with my bestest friends at the burrow, home cooked meals from Mrs Weasley every night, and you know..getting to see Ron everyday, but that was just because he was one of my bestfriends, obviously. Staying up late every other day with Ginny and Hermione was defintely one of the best parts, telling eachother everything and gossiping like there was no tommorow. As much as they teased me for 'liking Ron', which can't be true, they were and are my bestest friends and I wouldn't change them for the world.

However, all this being said I also couldn't wait to go back home, to Hogwarts. The smell of the griffindor common room, Snape always being moody and pissed eternally for never being with Harry's mum, the feasts every evening, the Hogsmeade trips me, Harry, Ron and Hermione would take every weekend, ocassionally with the twins and Ginny too, I just missed it so much.

As I was packing my bags and pondering over my thoughts and feelings about going back tomorrow, I heard a faint sort of grumbling sound coming from behind Ginny's bedroom door (the room me and hermione were staying in and where I was packing). I go to open the door. Nothing. Huh, that's weird.

*THUD*

'WHAT THE BLOODY HELL DO YOU TWO THINK YOU'RE PLAYING AT!'

Of course, it was non other than the infamous Weasley twins, once again apparating from behind me to scare the shit out of me.

'We're only playing around love-' Fred smirked.
'-Keep your hair on,' George finished, also smirking.

'You two will be the death of me one day I swear to Godrick.' I reply bluntly, even though it's hard not to smile around these two.

'Relax, anyways we're only here to say that mum said dinner will be ready in a minute and so to come downstairs.' Fred says.

'And you couldn't have just shouted up the stairs, knocked on the door, no?'

'Not a chance darling.' George winked and then just like that, they disappeared, until I heard them downstairs clearly doing what they just did to me to Molly, the faint sound of her smacking them around the heads with her tea-towel put a smile on my face.

I smiled to myself and ran downstairs, not wanting to miss out on my last meal at The Burrow for a while.

Before I enter the room properly, I stop myself and pause; taking a look at all the people I love talking, laughing, arguing over food, kicking eachother under the table. I admired the scene going on before walking in properly and sitting myself down.

Merlin I'll miss this.

------------------------------------------------------

After waking up earlier than I'm used too to catch the train and after the longed out car ride to the station where Mr Weasley insisted on driving the car 'the muggle way', we were all on the train in one peice and on our way home. Me and Ron sat on one side of the compartment with Harry and Hermione on the other; Ginny had gone off to say hi to some friends and the twins were off somewhere trying to sell people their merchandise.

'Who d'you reckons going to take over Umbridge now she was kicked out?' asked Hermione.

'I have no idea if i'm honest, but I think anyone can be better than her.' I giggled.

'Are we even doing defence against the dark arts anymore, y'know, after everything that's happened with Umbridge last year and the mess it caused with the ministry.' Ron questioned.

'Potentially but who know's with the way Fudge is, all he does is pay Rita Skeeter to make him look good.' Harry joked and we all laughed along.

As we were laughing I felt someone's glaze on me and when I looked to the side I could see.. Ron? Looking at me? He quickly looked back to the other two, his cheeks blushing scarlett. I brushed it off and we all continued talking and joking but I couldn't stop thinking about what had happened, I mean, it's Ron. He couldn't ever like me surely. I smiled to myself without realising to which Hermione nudged my knee giving me 'that' look, meaning she clearly saw that little 'moment', if you could even call it that.

I rolled my eyes at her and we joined in with what Harry and Ron were talking about.

'I'm telling ya, she could definitelyyyy....you know..' Harry spoke.

'HARRY JAMES POTTER' Hermione gasped, 'Do not talk about a girl like that.' she continued, pulling a disgusted face and slapping his arm with her book.

'Merlins-beard-Mione-, I was only joking!' Harry stuttered, trying to protect himself from Hermiones smacks.

To be honest you couldn't help but burst out laughing, which is exactly what me and Ron did. Soon we were all laughing at the randomness of the situation.

'I'll be back in 10 guys, just gonna go put on my robes so I don't forget and rush like I normally do.' I laughed and said goodbye to my friends.

On my way back from getting changed, I was saying hi to Neville, Dean, Seamus and Luna when I felt an icy, cold presence from behind me, making the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.

Malfoy. Oh godrick how he annoyed me. Not only was he horrible to Harry and gave us all a hard time, he had a thing for me back in fourth year, where I thought I rejected him nicely but ever since he's just been oddly...creepy around me. Rude when I'm with my friends, but when it's just me...just plain creepy.

'Malfoyyy...hiii..' I said uneasily.

'L/N' he smiled weirdly at me, trying to look me dead in the eye.

'Um I should really get going back to my compartment...I'll see you guys later.' I turned back to the group I was talking to who, thankfully, gave me understanding looks and said their goodbyes.

As I turned around to walk back towards my friends I felt a strong grip wrap itself around my wrist, pulling me to the side where no one could see, or so I thought.

'Dra-Draco what are y-you doing..' I stuttered, trying not to make eye contact with the blonde boy infront of me.

'I'm still not over you Y/N.' He said bluntly but with a tone of voice that made me very uncomfortable. 'I don't think you meant what you said, about not wanting to be with me.' He moved in closer which I didn't think was possible.

Extremely and obviously uncomfortable with what was going on I tried to form a reply, 'Dra-Draco I-'

When out of no where came non other than Ron.

Grabbing Draco by the arm he punched him hard in the face, causing him to fall over while the red head continued to damaged the boy on the floor. Snapping out of the trance I didn't realise I was in after trying to process what the F was happening, I grabbed Ron by the arms and pulled him off Draco, both of them breathing heavily.

'DON'T YOU EVER FUCKING PULL SOMETHING ON Y/N LIKE THAT AGAIN MALFOY' Ron shouted. 'OR I'LL DO A LOT MORE THAN JUST THAT.'

Trying to regain himself and make himself look good again, Draco replied 'Got ya self a little crush their Weasley huh? Is little won won trying to protect L/N.' He pulled a puppy eyes face a walked away, sniggering with his friends.

All I could do was look Ron in the eyes, hug him as tight as humanly possible and whisper into his ear 'Thank you.' before the tears started to pool up in my eyes.

'Anything for you Y/N' he replied quietly, hugging me back.

'Wait WHAT-' I thought to myself, but before I had the chance to say any more, the train began slowing down and the castle was coming into veiw out of the window.

I'm home.
