Waking up with the mid October sun shining into the dorm, the same smile I fell asleep with found itself upon my face. It was around 9:30 am, Hermione and Ginny's beds were empty meaning they were downstairs having breakfast, so I quickly put on a random pair of leggings, I think they were Ginny's, and a huge hoodie with one of my favourite muggle bands on it, The Arctic Monkeys, chucked on my old converse, brushed my hair and teeth and made my way downstairs.

Walking into the Great Hall, I easily spotted my friends on the almost empty table and went and sat down next to Ron. As soon as I sat down I felt Ron's leg move itself against mine, causing those well-known butterflies to be set free again. As I gathered some food onto my plate, Ron lent in closer to me, not trying to make it obvious, and whispered into my ear,

'I can't wait for later, darling.'

A new wave of butterflies errupted in my stomach, this time also going slightly south aswell. I smiled gently at him, my cheeks blushing the same colour as his hair.

-----

Me, Ginny and Hermione spent the next few hours of the day in Hogsmeade searching for a dress for me to wear that afternoon. We looked around Gladrags Wizardwear for a while and just as I was about to give up hope, I saw it. The perfect dress for me to wear. It was a dark, navy blue with lace detailing, not too formal but also not too casual. It truly was gorgeous. After I'd finished purchasing the dress, we breifly stopped off in Madam Puddifoot's for some tea and cake before making our way back up to the castle.

Once we got back to our dorm at around 1:30pm, Hermione instantly unpacked the dress and laid it out neatly on my bed, not wanting it to get creased, while Ginny started on my hair. She curled it and created these gorgeous beachy waves while Hermione and I picked out some subtle makeup that complimented my dress nicely. As they were doing my hair and makeup, all the nerves I wasn't feeling before I was now. Once the girls had finished, they looked at eachother proudly and told me to go put on my dress.

As I walked out of the bathroom and looked at my reflection in the mirror, even I couldn't help but look in awe. Everything down from my hair to my shoes was perfect. I took a moment to admire my best friends' work before turning around a hugging them.

'Oh they grow up so fast,' Ginny sarcastically sobbed, holding onto Hermiones arm.

'Don't they just.' Hermione added, copying Ginny's sarcasm.

I rolled my eyes at them and thanked them once more before realsing the time. I swiftly made my way out of the castle and towards the lake.

As I walked closer I could see the redheaded boy, he was dressed in smart trousers and a shirt with the top buttons undone and the sleeves rolled up, he looked incredibly handsome. Once he realised I was there he hastily stood up, brushed himself off and walked towards me slightly with an adorbable yet nervous gleam in his eye.

Ron's POV

Her beauty never fails to take my breathe away, I mean, wow. Her beautifully curled hair drapping over her shoulders as she walked towards me, her dress complimenting every curve and surface of her body, her eyes glistening in the afternoon sun which was slowly starting to set; she looked so beautiful.

'Wow,' I managed to stammer, 'Y-You look beautiful.'

She giggled and smiled shyly, 'You don't look so bad yourself.'

I chuckled lightly and offered her my hand, guiding her to sit down upon the blanket. I lent over and mangaged to turn on the little muggle radio I found in my dorm, I flicked it over to the station that was playing the music we danced to in the library and set it to a nice volume. She looked in awe at everything on the blanket, making my heart do a somersault.

Y/N's POV

I was in admiration of everything Ron had gone through for this, from the huge array of food he must have spent ages making, or learning the spell for, to the thoughtfullness of the radio and the music it was playing, it was all so perfect. He is so perfect.

'Ron..' I started.

'Please, I don't want you to say thank you, I did this for you because you deserve it, besides, Hermione helped me with some of the food spells and Harry taught me how to work the radio so..' he rambled.

'Ron..' I cut him off, putting his hands in mine, 'It's perfect, it's all so perfect. I don't care if you needed help, it was all your idea.'

He smiled sheepishly and got up.

'I want to show you something.'

He took my hands and led me over to an array of trees that were near the blanket, he walked me infront of him and when I turned around, he was gone.

'Ron, why have you taken me h-' I began saying into the air, confused, when all of a sudden I cut myself off. In all of the trees were hundreds and hundreds of fairy lights, shining through all the dark leaves, leaving me speechless. As much as the sun was still out, the Black Lake is always quite dim and so it looked truly magical. It was like something out of a fairytale. I looked up and spun around a few times until I felt a gentle pair of hands on my waist.

'Y/N, will you please..do me the honour' he hesitated, 'of being my girlfriend.'

It's like every happy feeling I've ever felt built up into one emotion, pure joy.

'Of course I will dumbass.' I laughed. He laughed along with me and picked me up by the waist, spinning me around. After placing me back onto the groud he dipped me into a deep, loving kiss which made me feel so much happiness it was unbearable. His hand ran along my leg that was lifted in the air while the other was strongly supporting my back.

We spent the rest of the afternoon eating, laughing, talking about anything and everything that came to mind, it was just so comfortable. We talked about our families, even though I knew practically everything about his, childhood stories, past relationships etc. He explained how Lavender forced him to do things with her which made me so unbelievebly mad and I vowed to myself then and there to never hurt him. I explained to him about the things Cormac did to me and how much of a dick he was and I reckon he probably vowed the same thing I did to himself.

After it started getting dark, I helped him clean up and we walked back, hand in hand.

'Thank you for today, it was like something out of a fairytale.' I said once we were back in the common room, the only two left as it was late.

'Like I said on the train darling, anything for you.' he replied, stroking my cheek and pulling me in for a kiss. We talked for a while before agreeing to go to bed, he walked me up to my dorm and kissed my forehead.

'Goodnight love, I'll see you in the morning.' he spoke quietly before turning around to walk back to the boys dorm.

'Goodnight.' I grinned before slowly opening the door to get changed and ready for bed.

I fell asleep to my head replaying the moment Ron asked me to be his. With the biggest grin on my face, I pulled the duvet up to my chin and tried to go to sleep, thinking of Ron.

Thinking of My Boy.
