dream's pov.

dream slowly opened his eyes. his body ached. he rubbed his eyes feeling the pounding headache radiate through his soul.

dream groaned as he sat up in his bed. he was in his apartment. however something was off. something was different. the room seemed new, and cleaner, not how he remembered it.

remembered it.

he had an odd turning feeling in the pit of his stomach. a dull confused feeling faded over his senses. it was almost like his life had started over. he didn't remember anything.

or did he...

george's pov.

george sat on the side of his bed, his feet dangling over the edge. his hands in his hair, digging in his skull. millions of questions rushed inside of him. he felt like he was forgetting something. like something was gone or lost. however his mind kept reassuring peace within. george didn't know what to believe. he didn't know what to think.

he woke up in his apartment like any usual day. so what was lost? why was he feeling this? why was there this questioning flood of emotion in his mind.

"i'm just overthinking" george mumbled.

george sighed and stood up from his bed. he opened up his laptop and started editing as usual.

"what the fuck" george's head fell into his hands again.
"i'm missing something. somethings wrong"

george sat in silence before he moved again. he glanced over at his laptop.

7:30 pm.

"how the hell is it that late"

george wanted to scream. what was this feeling? why did he feel so separate from his thoughts. he felt like he was outside of his body and everything he felt was fake. his thoughts felt unreal. fake.

"it's just your head. it's just your mind" george whispered to himself.

he couldn't stand to sit in this quiet room by himself. it left to much freedom to rage within his mind. therefore he stood up, grabbed a hoodie and slipped on his shoes.

dream's pov

he needed to leave. dream needed to distract himself from his own thoughts. he walked out of his apartment complex.

a tall street lamp shined like a spotlight over a small bench. the area seemed peaceful, quiet, almost refreshing in the madness of his mind. dream walked towards the area. he noticed quiet music playing from the street lamp. it was peaceful. everything dream wanted.

he sat down and leaned back letting himself relax. however he heard something.

crying.

he sat up quickly and looked around,

please don't tell me this is my mind messing with me again.

but then he noticed someone sitting outside of the apartment complex beside his own. their knees pulled into their chest. sobbing.

dream sighed and stood up from the bench.

why am i doing this?

"h-hi" dream spoke.

the man looked up slowly, he quickly wiped the tears from his eyes and stood up.

"hi um sorry I was probably bothering you I- um"

the man paused and started to walk away.

"no no come back,"

he stopped.
