"Makoto," The woman clenched her teeth and gripped the spatula she was holding with pure, unbridled anger. "What do you think you're doing sneaking off?!" She screamed.

"Is this the Wonder Killer?" I whisper to Ai. She nods in response.

"Hey!" The woman shouts. "I'm speaking and you're just talking between yourselves?! Makoto, are these friends of yours?!" She never lowers her voice, does she? "They're a bad influence! I'll wipe them off the face of the earth!" After her yelling, the Seeno Evils - which had been standing idly by by the Wonder Killers side - began to move.

"Run!" Makoto shouts. Obeying his orders, we all run in the opposite direction of the Wonder Killer.

"I'll be back!" I mutter, looking at the statue of my brother.

"Who is she, Makoto?" Ai asks, still running from the threat chasing us down.

"That's... my babysitter." He said.

"No offense, but you look a bit too old for a babysitter," I shout over the woman who had started screaming with rage.

"I know! I told my parents, but they wouldn't listen!"

"Explain more later," Ai said. "Follow me!" Ai takes a right so Makoto and I follow. "In there!" In front of us was a small shop with a fire exit sign above the door. I didn't have time to study the details of the place properly because of the looming threat behind us. I, being the last one in the door (due to my lack of exercise) slammed it shut once I crossed through it. I then leaned my back on the door, sliding down it slowly.

"...W-wait..." I say, trying to catch my breath. "Why... Why did we run? Aren't we supposed to... take it out?"

"Good idea. Fighting it... without a weapon..." Ai said sarcastically.

"Don't you have anything?" I began breathing at a steady pace once again.

"It's hard to protect two people at once." She said, getting up off the floor. "Where are we anyway?"

"It looks like a bicycle shop," Makoto said. I look around and sure enough, the place was filled to the brim with different types of bikes. "Wait, shouldn't those Seeno Evil things be bursting through the door right now?"

"Those doors with the fire exit signs," Ai begins. "They're like warp gates. They take you to a safer place." I make a mental note of what Ai said and take a seat next to Makoto.

"What was the deal with that babysitter of yours?" I ask. Makoto sighs then he looks towards the ground.

"Her name is Haru Suzuki. I don't know much, but apparently, she lost her son at a young age due to an illness. She was frightened to have another child in case the same thing happened and she didn't have enough money for adoption. So she resorted to babysitting. She went through four or five other children before coming to 'look after' me. She's a bit... aggressive, trying to force her version of a 'perfect son' onto me. Anytime I did something wrong she would resort to violence. I tried to tell my parents what was happening, that I didn't need a babysitter... They never listened. They kept telling me they didn't want me to be at home alone. When I told them about the abuse... they just told me that I was a man. That men don't cry. That men don't deal with these kinds of things. In the end, the people I trusted and loved the most did nothing to help. So I..."

That's kind of similar to me...

"Makoto..." Ai said in a saddened tone.

"Enough of the depressing talk," Makoto got off his feet and faced me. "You said you don't have a weapon right?" He pulled back his jacket and took out a nail gun from inside. It began to glow a dim yellow color.
