I was busy with a lot of stuff for a while. I know I say that a lot but I was. I'm really sorry to all of you for making you wait. I really am. I feel terrible. I would say that everything should go back to normal soon and there should be a consistent upload schedule but I'm not going to promise anything. The last time I said that I got busy again.

Anyway, forget that stuff. I've apologized, so that's it for now. Here are my thoughts on the special.

***SPOILERS AHEAD***

First of all, I will say that during the start of June I intentionally put off uploading the next chapter of this story to see how things would play out with the special episode and to see if I'd need to rethink any ideas.

When I first heard that the episode would be around one hour long I was excited because I thought to myself, "That's neat! A lot of unanswered questions will finally be resolved and it would be an epic conclusion!" So when I watched it, (I watched the episode on the 4th of July by the way 'cause I was busy[also happy Independence Day my Americans]) I was a little upset to find that half of the episode was a recap.

On to the episode itself. We start by seeing Neiru defeat the Egg Game and talking with someone (I can't really remember the voice and I can't be bothered going back to check who's it is) saying that "your place is gone now". This could mean that either she won't return to the Egg World or it could be the reason (that we later find out) that she ran away. Or it could be none of those. These are all just my speculations.

Later she meets with Ai and they have a short conversation about the weather (specifically snow). Ai returns home to find Adam (Kotobuki's rat). She places him in her room then stares at him seemingly deep in thought. What she's thinking about I don't know but I'm curious.

Ai then receives a message from Neiru telling her to take care of Adam. The scene cuts to Neiru on a bus and ignoring Ai's phone call. Why is she doing this? I again don't know.

We next find Ai at school when we see a familiar person walk past her. Koito Nagase. This confirms that saving Egg children from the Wonder Killers brings back the person the Warriors want to save, but it comes with a price. When Ai speaks with Koito, she remembers nothing of her time with Ai. Ai later goes through her phone and finds that all of the pictures she took with Koito had disappeared. We also find out more about Koito's backstory. We found out (according to Mr. Sawaki) that she had possibly been involved with her teacher's suicide from her last school and had to transfer. She had also invited/threatened Sawaki to join her on the roof that she would jump off if he didn't come. She then accused him of raping her and other things. She then lost her balance and fell off the roof. There is the chance that Sawaki could have made some, if not all, of this up but I personally don't think so.

Another question I have is: we have seen that before Koito died (in a previous episode) she was crying into Sawaki's chest. So why did she trust him enough to let out her emotions in front of him then go to accuse him of heinous acts? Was it an act? A quick change of emotions? Was she trying to trick Ai? Was it the temptation of death? Honestly, I have no idea. I'm just throwing out random thoughts I have. I'm no theorist.

We then see Ai chasing down Neiru to talk to her. We are told that Ai has the wrong person. We later find out that that wasn't Neiru but her younger sister Airu. We see that both Neiru and Airu have very similar hairstyles, which is strange because Neiru had changed her hair seemingly to match her sister's (not to mention they are basically doppelgangers). She changed her hair suspiciously at around the same time that Momoe beat the game. Which also begs the question: Why? Why did she change her hair right as the game was about to finish? Was she planning to run from the beginning? Did she use her sister as a means to make her harder to track down? And why run in the first place?

We then cut to Ai doing some karaoke with Rika and Momoe, singing the oh-so-familiar ending theme, Life is Cider. There was no real but to me adding this. I just enjoyed it when I first watched it. Ai then tells us why the dead people forget: "When a dead person comes back, it creates a noise that changes our normal lives a little," They then proceed to talk about how their friends have forgotten them. I find this scene a bit upsetting, to be honest. They have all tried so hard to bring back their friends and family only for them to not remember they existed. To me, it feels like the reason they committed suicide was because of them, and so their time with them had to be wiped. Which (I don't mean to blame them for their friends' death, this is just hypothetical) can be true for Momoe, Neiru, and Rika. Airu died because Neiru was "too good", Chiemi died because of Rika's cold words and Haruka died because of Momoe's rejection. We don't know about Koito too much (or I can't remember) but we can suspect that the same may be true. I just hope I'm wrong about this one, though.

After they talk about going back to the capsule machine, which Momoe rejects doing. Because she's scared. I don't blame her for this though. I don't think I could go back if that happened to me.

A few scenes later, Ai gets a call from Neiru's secretary; this is when we find out that Ai spoke to Airu and that Neiru is missing. Ai and Rika are in a limo in the next scene and one of the lines that stood out to me that I haven't mentioned was, "I think that she was afraid to tell you about herself." Again, more questions. You can guess these questions for yourself, though.

We find out that after Kotobuki had died, she moved to an apartment. And then, another shocker leaving us with multiple questions. We find Kotobuki from a parallel universe. She says that she is here because the Kotobuki from Ai's world died. When did she get there? How did she get there? Blah, blah, blah. Questions, questions, questions.

We are then shown Neiru's final Egg dream where her sister (assumingly, as Rika says "Her sister pisses me off") saves her from what I'm going to assume is the Wonder Killer. It may be something different, however. I'm not entirely sure. We are never shown Neiru's dream so we only have to make assumptions. Then we hear Hyphen, Dot, and Kirara Rodriguez Matured XVIII Evening Star SS Plum (long name, I know) make an appearance. We then hear one of them saying that if you sacrifice your pet you get to live.

She challenges them to a battle but gets cut off by Frill. She says that she wants to be friends because they are similar. And because she knows Neiru's true wish. To "become human." Now I can't remember where (or if it was established in the show and I'm just stupid) but I saw somewhere that Neiru was an AI. I guess this confirms it if it wasn't explained in the show. But this also tells us that the reason that Neiru ran away was possibly because Frill promises to make her human.

We are told that the Kotobuki from Ai's universe created an AI in Airu's image and that Airu got jealous of her, which explains why she stabbed Neiru and killed herself. Rika then decides not to visit the capsule machine in the end because she doesn't "want to die for a machine." She, like Momoe, doesn't want to go back because she says she will die.

We cut to a scene of Neiru calling Ai, but instead of answering, Ai throws her phone off her balcony. We then see a scene of her crying next to her mother about what I will assume is her rejecting Neiru's call.

There is a massive time skip to the end of May. Ai explains that she has transferred schools and that she had drifted from everyone. Some girls walk past her and mention how snow could fall. Remember how I mentioned snow before? The conversation the random girls have reminds Ai of the time she spent with her friends. This makes her decide to go back to the Egg machine. She runs there, starting with the same running stance as the first episode.

She says to the Accas that she wants to see Neiru and they offer her to buy an egg. They say to her that Neiru might not want to see her, but Ai declines that, saying that she will try as many times as it takes to see her. We are then left with the words, "Ai Ohto... is back!"

So there is the plot of the last episode along with some of my thoughts. It gave us more questions than answers and the last line obviously hints at a new season, but it has not been confirmed. Do I hope a new season comes out? Yes. Do I think that a new season will come out? Yes. There are way too many unanswered questions for there not to be, but I could be wrong.

I don't normally do these analysis things 'cause I'm bad at them, but there's one for you. I will try and get a new chapter out soon but, again no promises. I will finish this story, though. I do not doubt that.

Anyway, thank you all for sticking around and I'll see you all later!
