*Back in Beach City*
(Peridot's POV)
"Hahaha! I truly am a genius!! That cloddy Pearl and Amethyst laughed when I said I would invent a Multiversal Teleporter! But let's see them laugh now--*Bonk!* Ow!" I exclaimed as I hit my head by accident, causing a couple of the Little Homeworld Gems, Cherry Quaytz and Blue Lace Agate, to laugh! Oh but I knew how to put them in their place!
"What are you two laughing at? Do I need to tell Garnet that you're slacking off from your fusion practice?" I asked with a smirk as they quickly ran away, knowing to cease their laughter.

Sadly, I couldn't even enjoy my victory or the fact that I had completed what was likely my greatest invention yet. My mind was on something-or rather SOMEONE- else. It's been so lonely since Steven's been gone. I miss him so much.
He's been keeping in touch with us since he's been away, but I wanted him here in person. I wanted him here with us. With me. I didn't want to say I love him.through text. I wanted to say it to him face to face. I wanted to say it and then feel his arms wrapped around me...
Yeah. I know. It's bordering into weird. But I've had these feelings for a long time and...
"Hey Peridot! Message for you!" A voice called as I'm interrupted by the human named Ronaldo. He was quite annoying. So much so that I made a laser that could fry him like those fry bits Steven likes so much. The only reason I hadn't was because I knew Steven wouldn't want me to.
"This better be important. And why do you have my communication device anyway?!?" I snapped, snatching it from him as he grumbled some inconsequential nonsense and left at last.
Looking at my communication device, I looked through my texts....and felt like my form would burst with excitement at what I read! I immediately ran to the Temple to tell the others!
*Later*
(Narrator's POV)
The Beach House/Temple had been quiet since Steven's been gone. No matter what anyone did or said, the hybrid left a giant gaping hole in the Gems non existent hearts that no one would ever be able to fill.
"Amethyst, if you're going to help me clean up, please at least TRY to do it properly!" Pearl snapped as Amethyst groaned, clearly fed up.
"It's hard when you're squawking at me, Beak Nose!" The Purple Gem shot back as Lapis couldn't help but snicker at the "Beak Nose" comment while Garnet stepped in between them.
"Enough! You two have been at each other's throats for the past 4 years now! What would Steven say if he saw---"Garnet began to scold until....
*SLAM*
"AHHHHHH!" Peridot screamed as she ran into the temple, startling everyone as they all looked at the green Gem with their weapons now drawn!
"WHAT IS IT, PERIDOT?!" Pearl exclaimed as Peridot looked at everyone in confusiom before showing them her phone!
"STEVEN SENT ME ONE OF THOSE TEXT MESSAGES! HE'S COMING HOME!!" She exclaimed as everyone(while annoyed at the green Gem) all cheered!
"REALLY?!? This is great! I thought you'd say something dumb like you actually managed to pull off your Multiverse portal." Amethyst said as Peridot rolled her eyes.
"That was the second bit of good news you clod!" She snapped. But calmed down at the thought of seeing Steven after all this time.
"So when's he coming? Details, Peri!" Amethyst exclaimed as Peridot shook her head.
"I don't know. All he said was "See you soon." That's kinda vague and not telling the whole story." The green Gem said with a shrug as Amethyst chuckled before letting out a sigh.
"Glad to see Steven's tendency to never give a straight answer about what's on his mind hasn't changed in 4 years. I'll kick his butt for that when I see him. When he gets here, that is..." The Purple Gem said as there was a knock on the door.
"It's open. Come in." Garnet said as the door opened and in walked a tall and well built young man wearing a jean jacket hoodie with a white t-shirt underneath and black pants. His hair was tied up as well as he looked at the Gems.
"Guess who's back home?" He said with a chuckle as he lifted his shirt and revealed the Gem in his navel to show the stunned Gems who he was. At that moment he was swarmed in a huge group hug from the Gems!
"STEVEN!!! OH I MISSED YOU SO MUCH, YOU CLOD!!" Peridot said, trying to get her tiny arms around Steven. In fact, her and Amethyst were having some trouble with the taller Gems like Garnet and Pearl getting much more of Steven then they were!
"STEVEN! MY BABY HAS COME HOME!! DO YOU KNOW HOW WORRIED WE ALL WERE?!?" Pearl sobbed as Garnet tearfully planted a kiss on Steven's cheek. The fusion couldn't be happier and neither could Lapis, who also had tears in her eyes.
"Steven! Don't ever leave us again!!" Lapis sobbed as Steven smiled.
"Guys, I missed you too. I'm glad to be home." The hybrid said as the Gems finally let him go so he could tell them how things have been the past 4 years.
"So what's been happening, Steven? What did you do on the road? Did you meet any cute girls like your Dad joked that you would?" Amethyst asked as Steven sighed.
"I wish. Especially since...well...." He began to say until Garnet kissed his cheek again.
"We know what happened with you and Connie. You don't need to go into it if you don't want to." She said.
"What? What did that human do to you, Steven? Do I have to wring her scrawny neck? How did she hurt you?" Lapis snapped as everyone looked at her.
"Easy, Lapis. It's not an issue. It's a lesson learned. Connie didn't want a long distance relationship, that's all." Steven replied as Peridot scoffed.
"Hmph! She was never good enough for you to begin with! I don't get what you saw in her, Steven." The Green Gem said.
"Huh. Can't lie: I agree. Connie was never someone I thought was good enough for you, Steven. I always kept hoping you'd see someone better than her." Amethyst said.
"Everyone stop. While I agree that Connie isn't really worthy of Steven and I'm ashamed it took me that long to realize it, this isn't the time for that! Steven's just getting home and--" Pearl began to say...
"Likely wants to reconnect with some of the Little Homeworld Gems. You've been missed by them, Steven. I'd go see them." Garnet said as Steven nodded.
"Alright. I'll see you guys later. Love you". Steven said as he walked out the door.
"We love you too, Steven." The Gems all said at once. Steven just smiled and left.
"What was THAT about, Peridot?!?" Lapis exclaimed as Peridot shot a look of offense at her.
"What do you mean?!? Whatever you think I did? You likely did the same!" The Green Gem shot back.
"Both of you just stop. We're all happy to have Steven home." Amethyst said with a blush on her face as Garnet smiled, blushing as well.
"That we are. I'm glad my Cutie Pie is back home. Now if you'll excuse me..." The fusion said as she went into her room. Once she was sure she was alone, she phased out of her clothes, her body now seemingly steaming hot as she fell back and began pleasuring herself....
