"Oh, sleepy head. C'mon. Wake up", I felt someone's voice, disturbing my peaceful time. "Mr. Napping noodle. We're gonna land soon. I bet you don't want to miss the view", that irritating voice spoke making me groan and squirm, eventually I had to open my eyes. I looked around to see the lights were still off and I was laying on the huge bed while my two legged alarm clock sat on the other side of the bed with his back leaned over the headboard, drinking coffee. I sat up lazily before my eyes fell on the sky on the other side of the window which was such a beautiful sight, with a mild yellow and orange light beaming in between the clouds, preparing for the sunrise soon.
"Where are we?", I asked confused, looking at the annoying man beside me, because he had said that we weren't going to Miami as I was thinking.
"We'll be landing soon. So, I think you can find out pretty easily", he said still being an a*shole that he was.
"What's the fuxking time here? Atleast tell me that", I mumbled irritated by his behaviour at this early hour.
"It's exactly 5.12 am", he said looking at his mobile, which probably had local time set. "It's actually a good travel because the flight time from LAX to here takes about 9 hours but now we're here in 8 hours. Isn't it great?", he said with a wide smile, as my mind guessed something but I let it slip.
"I'm gonna fresh up real soon", I answered, ignoring his previous statement. I walked to the washroom while my mind thought about the possibilities of where we could be. My heart was repeating one particular place but my mind constantly contradicted saying he wouldn't remember it. I entered the bathroom, walking straight to the wash basin, in desperate need to splash cold water that would wake me up and stop my excited heart.
I walked out after ten minutes to see him making a cup of coffee before handing it over to me. I thanked him and took it from him, walking out of the room to sit on the couch for a much closer and clearer view of the landscape. I took a sip and immediately my eyes widened at the taste. He remembered exactly how I liked my coffee. My heart was pounding without a stop while my mind said that it was pure coïncidence. I looked down at the cup of coffee I held between my palms, wondering if he really remembered it.
"Two cubes with just a dash of creamer. Right or things have changed?", his voice spoke out of the blue, making me flinch for a second.
"Old habits die hard", I simply stated avoiding to look at him. I took another sip and pulled out a magazine to busy myself. I didn't want to talk about it because it would only make it more awkward. I didn't know if I should be even happy that he remembered it.
The next few minutes were filled with silence but in a way, it was what I needed. I didn't want to disrupt it and started not to see the elephant in this room; disguised as his perfume.
"Gentlemen, we'll be descending soon. So, I kindly request you to fasten your seatbelts. The expected time of arrival is 5:55 am. Thank you", the pilot's announcement came through the speakers. I followed his instruction and moved closer to the window to look out at the gorgeous and picturesque aerial view of the island. I was as excited as a little boy in a candy store, pressing my face to the toughened glass of the window, as though it was going to let me find out the place.
"Adorable", Harry mumbled with a chuckled, but I heard it.
"What?", I asked, not moving my face away from its place.
"Umm... No.. nothing", he stuttered as I smiled shaking my head a little. Even I was surprised by my childish behaviour.
Soon, we were closer to landing and as the flight descended, my eyes fell upon a board making my eyes widen in shock and surprise. I felt tears in my eyes but I blinked repeatedly so that I wouldn't look like an idioh. I just couldn't believe he remembered all these little things which I had told him three years ago. At times, when we were tired of fighting, we sat down on the balcony deciding that we could atleast be civil with each other for some time. It was one such time when I told him how I wished to go here atleast once in my life time.
