hey :)
i hope you like ittt<3

George was shocked to see a message from Dream considering they hadn't spoken in months. He did try to stay in contact but his messages were never returned, and eventually, he gave up on hoping that the one person he finally felt a connection with, felt the same about him.

He met Dream online about a year ago, George had never seen his face, yet he felt comforted by just hearing his voice over the phone. The first time they spoke, George knew that he would be important to him. Dream made him feel safe in a world where he felt constantly alone. When they called to play Minecraft together, George got to take a break from the wreckage that his life had become and just be there, in that moment, with someone he cared about. Even though they were close, they never spoke much about their families, so Dream had no idea about his friend's father.

When they lost contact, George was devastated but not surprised. Everyone in his life had left him, he had learnt from a young age not to rely on anyone or anything for happiness because no matter what, they always leave. Every now and again he would miss hearing Dreams voice, but he had obviously ignored him for a reason, and George needed to respect that.

Dream

17:57 Hey George! It's been a while :] I was wondering if you'd like to play Minecraft with me sometime again soon, I hope you're doing well, from Dream.

18:02 Hi Dream
18:02 That sounds good. It would be nice to talk to you again.

George wasn't sure how to go about talking to his old friend, conversation used to flow without effort in the past, but it was a lot harder to talk to him now. He didn't want to make him uncomfortable by telling him how much he missed him, or how badly downhill his life had fallen without having him to talk to, so he just kept it simple.

Letting out a deep sigh, George ran his hand through his dark brown hair flipping it out of his face, his eyes were dry and stinging and his body was aching. He felt completely and utterly drained. After spending some time cleaning his room and waiting for a reply from Dream, he collapsed down on his bed still holding tightly onto his phone and listened to the comforting sound of his fan blowing the cool air around the room. There were a million thoughts on his mind holding him awake, but one of them was standing out. What made Dream text him now?
