- Mia Meets the Afton Family -

'It's finally over...' It was all Mia could think as she looked upon the rapidly burning remains of the final Freddy's pizzeria. The wild and rampant flames dancing beautifully within the darkness of the early morning sky.

The plan had worked, the nightmare was finally over, and now everyone was free... all except for her...

All of her family... all of her friends... everyone she knew or even remotely care for... were all gone.

And now here she was, kneeling before the flames which should've signified the end for all their collected stories. She was the last remnant of a truly distant nightmare. The only one left who knew the full truth. From her father's murders, too the discovery of remnant and the power it had over life and death - she knew it all... she'd been through it all...

She lived long enough to become the last one left standing. The concept nearly bring forth a small chuckle from the girl, a chuckle which easily broke free and grew into a broken laugh.

'Everyone's gone...' The realization of everything that had happened came out hush within the confines of her mind as she continued to laugh, the flames of the still burning establishment giving unnatural light to her emotional dull but watery eyes. Mia's laughter becoming more broken until it soon morphed into a blubbering sob. 'I'm completely alone...'

Mia continued to look into the blazing fire of Freddy's as her eyes and face ran red from her cries and tears - her mind racing; trying to imagine what she could possibly do now that everything she'd been working towards for years, was now over.

'Nothing,' was all she could think, 'I have truly nothing left...'

And so with that thought Mia began to walk towards the Hellish pizzeria, her tears welling within her eyes as she prepared herself for the only option left for her now. 'I wish things didn't have to turn out this way...' She thought, feeling the heat of the fire on her skin. 'I wish- I wish I have my family back.'

As she was about to enter the flames and embrace her end alongside everyone else, the unthinkable happened.

A shimmering tear-like portal appeared before of Mia eyes - stopping her final advance. The soothing blue light it emitted contrasting well with that of the sporadic fire behind it.

Before she was able to completely process what was happening a mere foot in-front of her though, Mia was suddenly sucked into the glowing rift in space. A scream of terror was all that was heard from the girl as both the Mia and the tear vanished - leaving only flickering silence as the last Freddy's establishment continued to burn to the ground.

The soothing silence of an early Saturday morning was suddenly, and rather rudely, broken by the terrified screaming of a young woman as she fell several feet from a shimmering blue rift. Most people didn't see that however - due to it subsequently dissipating as soon as it appeared - instead they'd have only saw what it left behind:

A groaning young woman, who's body was sprawled uncomfortably over the cold concrete curb.

Mia was beyond confused... Scratch that, she was down right scared - terrified even. Her previously suicidal and depressed demeanor now being thoroughly replaced by the experienced woman who'd been dealing with murderous robots for the majority of her later life.

Quickly, Mia picked herself up from her tangled position on the side of the road and made to evaluate the location where she was unceremoniously dropped by whatever stole her away from her willing immolation. Her confusion however only grew tenfold as Mia look over the exact same street that she was just snatched from, except for one key difference.

Freddy's... or rather Circus Baby's, as the sign above the entrance read, was still standing...

Looking over the exterior of the reasonably sized establishment, Mia saw no evidence of a fire, no scorched brickwork or creaking supports ready to collapse in on themselves, nothing what-so-ever to even indicate that something malicious or destructive ever took place there. Then there was the name and sign... that cursed name... but even then, there was still some minor differences...

Baby for example: the stylized clown girl was standing front and center of the main sign as you'd expect - surrounded by her usual animal cohorts - but instead of her natural blue eye she'd been originally created to have, those of an emerald green took their place.

'That's not right...' Mia stated within the safety of her mind, criticizing the strange error. 'Baby's eyes shouldn't be that color.' The only time they were ever green was...

'No!' She dared not to think of that specific monster, especially not now. Not when she was so very much confused.

"What's going on...? What's happening?" Mia whispered out almost pitifully as she deflated slightly, her questions going on death ears as she just stood before the once trap of a build she, Henry and Michael created. It was only when a couple of teens walked past her; breaking her line of sight to the establishment, did she finally snap out of her flunk.

"-never really liked that Afton guy." Was all she managed to hear as they continued on their way, but it was enough to gain Mia's attention instantly.

'Afton?' She inwardly questioned, raising an eyebrow as she started to look in the direction of the two boys as they walked off.

"What, the one who works over there?" His friend then indicated to the Circus Baby's establishment with his own questioning look.

"No not him, he's a rather decant guy. I'm on about his old man. I just don't like that smile of his, you know."

His friend nodded at the other boys reasoning wholeheartedly. Both youths continuing to talk as they walked out of Mia's ear range - one going on about a guy by the name of Glade? - though the information she just gathered from those two passers-by was rather damning.

'Afton...? They made it almost sounded like... they're still alive...' She let it just sink in for a few seconds. 'What?!'

It was completely impossible, but from what she just heard- 'No!' Mia instantly collected herself before she went on a mental tangent. She needed to see for herself, the words of strangers were just that - words.

Looking to the establishment which stood before her - Circus Baby's Pizza World and rental service - Mia decided to see for herself. 'They said an Afton works there. I might as well see for myself.'

And with that final thought Mia walked towards the establishment. Only minutes ago had she done so to end her life, now though, perhaps she was going to start a new one. Only time will tell...

Only time will tell...
