Perrie Edwards ran down the hall to great her long-time girlfriend, Jade Thirlwall, at the door of Management's office. She embraced her tightly and gave a small peck on the cheek and Jade smiled. "So, what do you think this is about?" Jade asked, staring innocently into Perrie's cotton candy blue eyes.

"Hm, I don't know. Management is pretty unpredictable," the blonde girl responded, "maybe they decided to let us go public," she added with a grin.

Jade giggled, "maybe? More like hopefully."

Perrie sighed, "I know... Well let's not keep 'em waiting! Leggo!" They went in and sat down at the round table that had a few of their managers seated at, looking at them with no expression, making it hard for the couple to guess what this was about.

The one seated at the middle started saying with a smile, "So, we know that you girls have been dating for a while..." Jade reached under the table and gripped Perrie's hand and they both nodded. "And you've been wanting to go public..." The girls could see where this was going and Perrie gave Jade's hand a squeeze that returned it with enthusiasm. "Well, you see, we're very sorry but that just can't happen." Their hearts dropped as did their faces and the girls looked at each other with confused expressions. Perrie wanted to scream at them, for getting their hopes up like that then just crushing their dreams with one unapologetic sentence. Jade could tell what Perrie was thinking so she draped her arm around her shoulder to calm her down. After their manager let the news sink in, she explained why. "Girls, we're very sorry but we think that if you go public, you'll lose fans and sales and it will be terrible for the whole band. Not only would you be putting yourselves in danger, but Leigh-Anne and Jesy, too. We know you two don't want to do that, right?" All they could do was nod after being so dumbstruck. "Good, we'll see you girls for recording tomorrow. Have a good day!" Perrie gave them a little glare, wanting to say that she couldn't have a good day now. Management ruined everything for them. Jade lead Perrie out of the room and they didn't talk until they got back to their apartment, in fear of management hearing them. Perrie threw herself onto the couch in despair and started sobbing right away.

"W-why did they just do that?" That was the cruelest thing in the world!" Jade knelt beside her head and wiped Perrie's tears.

"I know babe, that was terrible. But it's not like we have to break up, right? At least we can still be together." Jade kissed her sweetly, calming Perrie down instantly.

"Yeah, I guess that's okay. But it would still be nice if they let us tell our fans. I hate lying to them, saying we're single. It hurts me," she paused to kiss Jade again, both of them engulfed in each other, happy to be together. Perrie was glad she had Jade to cheer her up all of the time. If she didn't have Jade, she wouldn't know what to do. "It hurts me to not be able to kiss you or hold your hand or play with your hair in public."

"I know Pezz, it's hard for me, too," Jade took Perrie's hand and starts rubbing circles into it. "It's just so tempting."

Perrie sighs, "Exactly. Well, anyway, want to get some sleep? I know it's only 8, but we have to get up early tomorrow." The brown-eyed girl smiled at Perrie's suggestion and helped her off of the couch. "Sounds good to me babe, let's get our pajamas on, yeah?"

Perrie nods and they get ready for bed, and then curl up in each others' arms. "Goodnight Jade" Perrie kisses Jade quickly. "I love you, she adds.

"Love you too babe, night," Jade replies and they fall asleep.
