This is based off the song Lemon boy by Cavetown

George's POV

All I've been doing lately is streaming and sleeping, and for the past couple months. What should I do right now besides that? I looked outside, and it finally wasn't raining! Maybe I could bike on the bike trail for a bit. I entered my garage and fumbled around looking for my bike. Right as I found it, it had a flat tire. I tried finding the tire pump, and went into my driveway to have some space to pump the tire. Of course with by bad luck, there was a sharp rock that gave the tire a hole, and I couldn't patch it up.

I sighed, and sat onto the front porch steps. I looked into the beautiful sky. It was a bright blue, with clouds. The sun shined brightly, which made the clouds look a little green. I then looked down, and saw a weed, or at least I think it's a weed.

I pulled it out, and didn't think much about it, but it ended up being a lemon boy. Lemon boys in my life were pretty well known, but weren't that common. People would usually abuse the lemon boys, or turn them into cleaners. It was my first time dealing with a lemon boy, and he looked at me sweetly.

"Hi! I'm George, what about you?" I asked the boy.

"I-I'm Dream, but my real name is Clay. I'm sure you don't care..." he replied, a little gloomy. His leaves drooped ever since I pulled him out. He looked very dry. He was pretty small, but if I keep letting him grow, then he will grow into a lemon person, and won't have to be in a planter anymore.

"No, I care. Why wouldn't I?" I asked a little sad about his response.

"Aren't you going to torture me, abuse me, or make me a cleaner?" He asked confused.

"I never would! In fact, I'll plant you in a planter, and help you grow! You can be a friend of mine, I am kinda lonely, and I stream usually. I have other friends, but it doesn't hurt to have another." I replied with enthusiasm.

"R-really?!" He replied hopefully.

"Yea, why not?" I said happily.

He tried to get up, but stumbled. He grumbled in pain, as one of his roots broke off.

I quickly picked him up, and held him in my hands. Lemon boys always turn out as white blobs with a head before they actually become a human-living plant-like creature. He smiled brightly, but his leaves were drooping a bunch. I grabbed a planter filled with dirt, and filled up a water bucket of lukewarm water. I used my fingers as a little shovel, and made a little hole in the dirt in the planter.

"How long do you think you can grow to the point I can see what color your eyes are?" I asked in curiosity.

"About a week." He replied.

"Well, I'll see you in a week then! I hope I don't hurt you when I slightly dig you up!" I said, a little sad I won't speak with him again until then.

I then entered him into the dirt, and pulled the dirt over him. I then watered him, and he seemed very happy about that, the water immediately got soaked in. The planter had holes in the bottom, so no water was sitting on the bottom of the planter. I put a curve edged plate underneath so the extra water could drip down, but there never was any extra water. I watered him a little more, and then set him in the middle of my kitchen table.

He seemed very sweet when I talked with him, but personalities could change, and they can change fast with lemon boys, or girls. They can act bitter, or even ignore you when you don't give them fertilizer. They can also plea for fertilizer when you don't give them it, and they can suffer severely if you don't help them.

Time skip to next week

It was already next week, and it went by fast! I couldn't wait to see lemon boy again, and I've never been so impatient on wondering what his eye color is. The most common eye color for lemon boys or girls were yellow, or orange. I scooped him up in my hands, and laid him down on my table. He squirmed a little in my hands, while I swiped away the extra dirt from him. I blowed away the dirt on his face, and he had his eyes closed, like before.

"Can you try to open your eyes, without it being painful?" I asked him.

"I can try, I'm very scared." He replied. I scooped him up, and held him closer to my face.

"If you can try, you can finally see what I look like!" I exclaimed happily.

"Ok, I'll try..." he sighed afterwards.

I saw his eyelids squirm a little, and he whimpered in pain, and with that, his eyes opened. His eyes widened when he saw me. So did mine.

Dream's POV

My eyes stung horribly, trying to open them. I then opened my eyes, and it was extremely bright. I winced, but my eyes widened when I saw another pair of eyes looking into mine. He smiled, but his eyes widened just like mine. He had gorgeous brown chocolate eyes, and dark brown, almost black hair.

"Dream..." he said in shock.

"W-what?" I replied very scared.

George's POV

"You're eyes....they're green..."

His eyes widened in surprise. It was extremely rare to have a green eyed lemon boy. Green eyed lemon boys or girls were much stronger, and when they got older, they could care for themselves. They are much smarter, and are very caring. When they have lemons (lemons dangle from their leaves on their head), the lemon juice is perfectly sweet and bitter.

Lemon boy also had dirty blonde hair, while it was common for them to have yellow hair, or light  brown hair.

He grew legs, but no arms yet. He was strong enough to stand, but it was a little tough for him to walk. He crawled on my hand, and laid down. He curled up into my hand, and snuggled up in my hand. The comfort from my hand almost made him fall asleep. I nudged him slightly, and looked up at me with curious, but confused eyes.

"Can you not be planted anymore, or do you want to be planted again?" I asked.

"Can I be in the planter for 1 more week?" He replied.

"Of course, whenever feels right for you!" I said, sweetly.

I planted him back in, and watered him again.

In one more week, he would grow legs and would show what his clothing style is. He would grow faster of course because he has green eyes, and he could probably sleep in my guest bedroom.

Just one more week....

I made an extra chapter for you guys, because I will start school very soon and won't be able to work on my book during in school, but I'll still try to make some chapters outside of school.

Drink some water, relax a bit, and don't forget to smile today! You are worth something and try to do something fun outside if you can!
