Chapter 3! It came out a little early which is fine to me. Hope y'all enjoy.

Ryder sat in his office thinking about how to retrieve that diamond. Working on this is like asking an artist to do a mechanic's job. He had little to no experience in police work. Gasket struck at random and in the middle of the day or late at night. Quite literally unpredictable. Last thing Ryder expected was company.
*knock knock*
"Come in!" Ryder calls out still looking at the map of Adventure Bay. He had marked down every single break in. Not even the lookout was safe.
"Hey Ryder sir! Can I go out to farmer Al's farm?" Chase asked as he tapped his paw.
Ryder didn't mind him going out anywhere. Chase was by far the most responsible pup on the team. "Why are you going there?"
Chase gave Ryder a puzzled look. "Do you not remember?" Chase asked.
Ryder simply shook his head. He didn't have a clue what the special occasion was. "The herding competition."
Ryder looked at his calendar. May 16th had a circle around it. "I forgot...." he nervously chuckled. "This whole Gasket thing is getting in the way."
"Yeah, I don't get how one could be so consistently inconsistent." Chase replied as he trotted out.
Ryder sighed. Surprisingly Chase's statement kinda made sense. He needs a new tactic.

6 pups sat in a circle. The couples of the PAW patrol were going to find out which is the superior couple. "This feels unfair..." Rocky sighed. Skye gave him a stare that would make anyone scared.
He quickly thought of a solution to fix his error. "I'm not saying Skye is a bad girlfriend I'm just saying that most of the thing we are doing are physical activity and Skye is like half of everyone's size. She has a genetic disadvantage. I'm probably the strongest male here though so it might help out." Rocky explained finding a way to throw Marshall and Zuma under the bus.
Marshall and Zuma let out a groan. "You definitely awe not the stwongest" Zuma objected.
Rocky gave Zuma an evil smile. "You and Marshall are just simple probably purebred dogs. Everyone here probably is, besides me. Who knows what I am. Definitely either German Shepherd, Malinois, or some sort of husky thing." Rocky said completely shutting down Zuma's objection. Zuma glared at him. "Shall we get started?" Rocky smirked. They all stood up ready to show Rocky that brains isn't everything.
They heard and engine rev and saw Chase drive off. "Since you're so mixed...could you beat Chase?" Marshall asked.
Rocky already knew the answer. "Never." He replied.
"Why not?" Zuma asked.
"Can we just start already?!? You guys getting butthurt over Rocky is getting annoying!" Ella groaned.
Everest was thankful Ella said something. "Thank you."

Chase jumps out of his cruiser to see 3 dogs running around the field barking and leading sheep. He could see a very familiar face that worried him. It was an Australian cattle dog and Australian Shepherd mix. Not just any mixed dog.... it was California's best sheep herder.
Chase watched in awe as she outpaced two older Australian cattle dogs. "Hey Chase! Glad to see that you made it!" Farmer Al exclaimed as he dug his pitchfork into the dirt. "Hey Farmer Al."
"Watching Iris and her unmatched skill I see. It's amazing to watch. Might have to get a cattle dog myself to be frank." Farmer Al said as he sighed to the sight of herding.
"She's competing in next week's tournament. They are looking for a good enough mate for her. I think you could be the one." Al chuckled.
"No, plus I don't have time. Gasket is on the loose and we need to stop her." Chase replied.
Farmer Al lightly pushed Chase with his leg. "I'm joking. Rats are pesky little things. They keep showing up because of the litter that those houses leave." Farmer Al sighed.
Chase didn't feel like being outshined at the moment. "I could help catch some of them. The presence of a predator might scare them off for a couple of days." Chase suggested.
Farmer Al gave Chase a smirk. "You don't want to embarrass yourself don't you?" He asked.
Chase didn't reply. They trotted into the barn and Chase started to sniff around. "We're killing them right?" Chase whispered as he stealth walked around to a corner. Al nodded and had his pitch fork ready.
Chase head the light and small footsteps of the rats. In the corner was a box with chicken feed. He pushed it and 5 hugs rats ran out. "AGGHAHAHAH" Farmer Al evilly laughed as he ran and poked at 3 of them. Chase followed one up the stairs where the hay was. It sprinted behind them revealing even more. They scattered and jumped off of the top onto loose hay. Al continued to laughed. Chase caught one and bit on it feeling it's life force drain. While on the trail of another one he didn't realize the huge barn door in front of him.
He broke through the surprisingly thin wood. "Chase are you okay!" Al the exclaimed as he poked at his rats. "Yeah! Give me a couple of seconds!" Chase called back out.
"That was quite the stunt there officer." A low male voice said. Chase got up and saw an older Australian Cattle dog walk up to him.
Chase nervously chuckled at the embarrassing moment. "Chase! I need you're help in here!" Al called out. "I have to go help him in there. I'll be back!" Chase said as he ran back in. Chase saw Farmer Al stepping and poking rats left and right. "I'll call Ryder!" Chase yelled.
