Trial of Four

Chapter 5.

                          ~ I see you~

    Dawn and Salatzar found out that Damien's mother was married to the evil king and that she was paid to kidnapped both Salatzar and damien but only got Damien.

    Salatzar you get Damien I'll get Alexander. Dawn said Salatzar nodded and they ran opposite ways.

Salatzar's POV

     I found a room at the bottom of the castle and opened the door why isn't it locked I thought to myself. As soon as I walked into the room the door locked and someone lot a lantern the light shining on a battered body however the clothes were familiar to me. The body rose almost like a puppet. It was Damien his head lifted as white came from his eyes and mouth blood came from his nose. I was the past I am the present and I will the future he said stiffly it didn't sound like him more lanterns lit to show a long hall someone at end. Please let my son go I pleaded. He chuckled. The white faded back to normal and Damien looked at me with the saddest expression. I cant stop him Dad he's controlling me he said the white came back and as the man held his hand up in a chocking gesture so did Damien. He wrapped his hand tightly around my throat as I struggled. I couldn't breath. I shot a spell at the man behind him and it killed him. I caught Damien as he fell. Hey it's okay I got you I said as he hurled over throwing up. Once he stopped I swiftly healed him and we ran to the woods.

Dawn's POV

   I found alexander's armor next to a cell I shined a light in and saw a man back faced to the cell door. Alexander I whispered. He turned around and looked me in the eyes. ' I see you' he signed. I unlocked the cell with my claw and took his armor with me he ran weakly completely disregarding his broken ankle.  every step he took you could see his face contort in pain. We ran with the woods and met with Salatzar and Damien. We EBDB's tavern it is Damien said unable to think coherently. We all nodded and went

  EBDB's tavern

    Salatzar laid Damien in his room ever so gently his arm positioned over his stomach the other wrapped in fabric by his side. His hair disheveled and matted. Salatzar couldn't bare to see his adopted son laying so helpless hopeless and weak. Salatzar took the small elf into his arms. I'm sorry Salatzar whispered cursing himself for not protecting him like he promised.

   Damien need a way to tell Salatzar everything was okay and it wasn't his fault. His hands lifted into Salatzar's repeating the words 'i see you' Salatzar smiled and exhaled with relief and tightened the hug around Damien. Unbeknownst to him Dawn and Alexander where standing at the door.

He really means a lot to that Faun Alexander said. Dawn could see Salatzar's eyes begin to close as he leaned his head against the wall. I see you Damien whispered quietly as Salatzar lay limp in slumber.

Next morning

   Everyone was shaken up about the events that transpired the days before. There where people they needed to watch out for and avoid. Celina, Damien's biological mother being one of them. Damien walked down to the tavern weakly but steadily. Good morning Damien how're you feeling Salatzar asked. Damien ruffled his hair and looked down as if looking for something. I guess I'm doing okay a little loopy but I'm alive what about you he asked as he sat at the counter. Exhausted and drowsy but that's partly my own fault Salatzar replied handing Damien a cup of hot coco. Good morning to you two how's your morning been Dawn asked as both Dawn and Alexander came down.

Good but Deus Meus Dawn some of us just woke up Damien said with a chuckle no one could really tell if it was as a joke or if it was pain. Either way the Day carried on as any other day would Damien went to the market to restock the kitchen and  find things Salatzar can use to make spell jars cleansings and what not. Dawn went somewhere no one really knows Salatzar stayed to attend to EBDB's Customers and Alexander went to the river on the outer part of town. Each one of them over thinking on what had happened the past few days. No one knew what's or who was gonna happen next.
