When I hear that, I'm in total shock. Jayden walks up and I say, "Thank you Chief. I have to go. If anything changes please let me know."
"You're welcome. I will", says Chief Talbet.
I hang up and I tell Jayden what Chief Talbet told me.
"Why would Ji do that? He doesn't own a firearm", says Jayden.
"But my Aunt Lil does", I say.
Jayden and I share a look and that's when Wes and Jen walk in.
"Jen. Wes, Aunt Lil and Ji were arrested for possessing an illegal firearm", I say.
Wes and Jen have shocked looks on their faces. I head back outside, where I sit by the pool. Back inside Wes, Jen, and Jayden head to the kitchen, where Jayden grabs a picnic basket and a picnic blanket and he fills the basket up with some lunch. (Finger sandwiches, salads with boiled shrimp, six bottles of water, and two dessert parfaits.) Jayden finds me sitting by the pool. He walks up and I turn around.
"Hey Jay. What's up", I ask.
"I thought you needed some cheering up, so I thought we could have a picnic together out here", says Jayden.
"Thank you Jayden. I do need some cheering up. Let's set up and have lunch", I say.
Jayden lays out the picnic blanket and he pulls the food out of the basket. Jayden hands me a finger sandwich, a salad, and a bottle of water. I eat everything Jayden gave me. When I finish, I put my head on Jayden's shoulder and I feel safe and happy as he puts his arm around me. I then see Jayden pulling out two dessert parfaits and two spoons. I smile at Jayden as he hands one parfait and spoon to me. Jayden and I eat the last bit of dessert and I fall asleep with my head on Jayden's shoulder. Back inside the doorbell goes off and Jen answers it.
"Aaleyah is that you", asks Jen.
"Yes Jen it's me. Is Bre here? I need to talk to her", says Aaleyah.
"Yeah come on in", says Jen.
Aaleyah walks inside and Jen walks outside to see me sleeping. She walks over and wakes me up.
"Yes Jen", I say.
"Aaleyah's here", says Jen.
I stand up and I follow Jen inside, where I see my BFF Aaleyah waiting for me. (See the Character Chapter for the description)
"Hey Aaleyah what's up", I ask.
"Can we talk in private", asks Aaleyah.
"Sure follow me to my room", I say.
Aaleyah and I walk to my room, where I close the door.
"Aaleyah what's up", I ask.
"Read the text message here on my phone", says Aaleyah as she hands me her phone.
I read the message and my eyes open wide.
"It can't be", I say.
"I'm afraid so. I just got this text a little while ago", says Aaleyah.
I find my old phone, an iPhone 4, and I turn it on to see a new text message.
"Oh my god. I just got one too", I say as I show Aaleyah the message.
"We have to tell", says Aaleyah.
"No! This stays between us", I say.
"Fine, but if we get any more text messages from this person. We are going to meet up here", says Aaleyah.
