Jayden and I get off of our bikes and we demorph. I walk inside and I smell something coming from the kitchen. I open the door to see a giant pot of boiling Kraft macaroni and a pot with cooking hot dogs on the stove. I finish everything up and I serve up six bowls and I bring them outside as well as six spoons.
"I found two pots on the stove and I cooked and served up lunch. Its pretty good," I say as I hand out everything.
"Its amazing Bre," says Emily.
"Thanks Emily," I say.
"You're welcome Bre," says Emily.
I smile and I say a quick prayer with everyone's hands joined together. I then begin to eat, with Jayden, Mike, Mia, Kevin, and Emily looking at me.
"What," I ask.
"That was an amazing prayer Bre," says Emily.
"Thanks Emily. It's something from my childhood that I love to do, " I say.
"It's powerful Bre, I can tell that you pray a lot," says Emily.
I then finish my food and I go back into the kitchen and I serve myself a second bowl of pasta and hotdogs. I eat it in the kitchen and I finish it ten minutes later. I clean up and I put the leftovers into the fridge. I head to my room, within the Sheba House, where I find a letter and package on my bed. I read the letter softly,"To my dearest great niece. I want to wish you an early 17th birthday. I hope that you find happiness and love in your life. Breanna remember courage is not the absence of fear, but that something else is more important then fear. I also want you to know I love you very much and I still think of you often. All my love Lillian."
When I finish reading the letter, I open the package to see my mom's old diary in its blue velvet pouch and her old tiara. I also see an mp3 player with ear buds attached to it. I carry the package and letter outside, where I put them in the seat compartment and I morph. I ride back to the manor, where I park my motorcycle in the garage. I take the package and letter out and I walk inside to my room. I change into some pajamas and I lay down in bed. There's a knock at the door and Jen walks in.
"Bre are you okay," asks Jen.
I point out the package and the letter on my dresser. Jen reads the letter and she sits on the end of my bed.
"Bre, don't let her put you down. She's on her own now," says Jen.
"Its what's inside the package that bothers me," I say.
Jen looks inside of the package and her eyes open wide. I have tears in my eyes as I begin to have flashbacks of my mom being happy and smiling. I sit up and I start crying on Jen's shoulder.
"It'll be okay Bre," whispers Jen.
I keep on crying and Wes walks in. I stop crying and I walk into the bathroom to change into a pair of jeans, a pink shirt, my boots, and my new leather jacket from Jen. I walk out and I head downstairs to the kitchen, where I make a salad with strawberries, pecans, croutons, and almond slivers. I eat it with a honey mustard dressing. Jen walks in and I try not to feel depressed. Jen smiles at me and she joins me for lunch. I smile at her and she says, "Bre there's some thing for you in the fridge. I hope you enjoy it."
"Thanks Jen," I say.
I finish my lunch and I clean everything up. I head to the giant backyard, where I sit on one of the chairs and I feel somebody walking up to me.
"Hello Jayden," I say.
"How'd you know it was me," asks Jayden.
"Senses. It's one of the things you taught me," I say.
"True. Bre what's bothering you," asks Jayden.
"The package that was from Lillian. It had two of my mother's belongings. How and why did she have them? They don't belong to her, they never did," I say.
"Bre we tracked down Lillian's home. We found a list of your mom's belongings and they were all in that house. We got all of them out. Lillian and Ji aren't coming back at all. The house belonged to your mom, so we called the police before we went inside. They put a bolo on Lillian and Ji, so if they are spotted you and I will get a phone call," says Jayden.
"Thank you Jayden. So where are the items at," I ask.
"Bre there's a phone call for you," says Jen.
I run inside and I answer the phone.
"Hello," I say.
"Ms. Breanna, this is Chief Talbet with the New York police department. We have Lillian and Ji in custody," says Chief Talbet.
"Thank you Chief. They belong here in Colorado," I say.
"They did have a loaded weapon on them. They have both been charged with illegal possession of a loaded firearm," says Chief Talbet.
Dedicated to: the New York Police Department. May the 2 deceased officers rest in peace.
