as they get to andrea's room, sam heads for the master bath. andrea stands in the middle of her room, cold and confused.

moments later, the sound of a shower running comes from the bathroom.

"sam—" andrea says, making her way to the bathroom, "you don't have to do this."

sam holds her hand under the water, testing it, "i insist. that's what friends are for, right?"

andrea pauses before slowly nodding. she enters the bathroom, feeling the thickness in the air from the steam.

sam looks concentrated on making everything perfect for her friend, testing the water and setting towels on the counter for when she's done.

"it should be ready, just leave your muddy clothes in here and i'll wash them."

"gosh, thank you so much, sam," andrea sighs, "i don't even know what to say."

sam smiles, grabbing andrea's hands and pulling her closer to the shower, "then don't say anything."

andrea forms a small grin on her face.

"i'll leave the room and when you're done getting in the shower, i'll take the clothes and wash them, just call me when you're ready," sam says.

"sounds good," andrea says— her voice slightly cracking from crying.

sam gives a reassuring look before exiting the room and closing the doors behind her. she examines andrea's room as the noises of clothes rustling and water comes from the bathroom.

time passes and eventually andrea calls out sam's name, allowing her to enter the bathroom. she enters the room.

sam stop as she sees the silhouette of her friend standing in the shower. the slight outline of her was showing from the steam that covered the glass.

sam stood there, distracted by andrea before eventually continuing her task of washing her clothes.

before leaving the room, she takes one more look at the shower walls before scolding herself.

there was just something that drew her in.
