Brielle POV

i sat watching the clock tik by waiting for it to struck 3:00 o'clock so i can run out the door and meet Ellie at the mall.

" your not actually considering going to the ball with that douche are you" jake speaks from the back of the library station where he is putting barcodes on the new lot of books that arrived this morning.

" no actually i'm not going as his plus one i am going by myself in support of my mother and step father but he will be attending" i reply ack matter of fact tone.

i don't understand why it's such a big deal that someone like William would invite someone like me there must be girls throwing themselves at him that its just a common day to him.

i wont be one of them girls though everyone knows william is a player, and i don't plan on being another girl added to the many others he has bedded.

" why would it be a bad thing if i was his plus one" i turn my body around to face carter to get his reply.

huffing out he puts the book down he had in his hand.

" i just don't want you to get hurt, i went to school with him he hunks because he has money women should put him on a pedal stool he's a dump his load and run kind of guy" jake explains all the reasons why i should be cautious i zone out shouldn't i be the one to judge him, i mean i hardly know him.

hearing my phone rings snaps me out of my train of thoughts reaching for my phone i see Ellie's name light up looking up at the clock before answering i notice its 3:06. answering my phone

"yes Ellie i'm walking out the door now" i huff out as i grab my bag waving bye to carter i head for the door

" you lying bitch i'm outside and i can see you nowhere near the door" Ellie snickers through the phone

stepping out the door i hang the phone up looking to Ellie i hold my hands up
"is that better hoe" i laugh back, "much none lets get you all pimped out for mr sex on legs tonight" she leans over and opens the passenger door for me.

getting in we head straight for the mall we decide to go into the heart of settle to the top of the line dress stores my father's best friend owns a top of the line all dresses and struck a deal to help me get a fabulous dress for a invitation to the ball.

dining away to music in the car and swaying side to side with no care in the world is my favourite thing to do, Ellie has been my best friend since we first started college, she helped me come out of my shell more like going to parties and helped me pick up the piece of my shattered heart after i found my ex boyfriend bunking with our ex bestie in our apartment.

Amanda always expressed how gorgeous my partner Jules was and how lucky i am to have him.

turns out i wasn't the only one Jules as banging after almost beating the shit out of Amanda and Ellie putting Jules dick pics on facebook comparing it to a tooth pick i felt better, i moved out and back to Portland Ellie stayed in seattle with her boyfriend James until there recent breakup, so now Ellie and i are looking for an apartment, i didn't want to tell my parents because even though they are respected lawyers and could pull strings i wanted to be able to do it myself.

unfortunately they found out the penthouse we were looking at are friends with my father and let it slip so of course we got the place we move in on the 25th of this month so a week from now. at-least i'm saving money on petrol.

"ahhhh omg yes" Ellie screams out snapping me out of thoughts while reaching for the radio button and turning the music up salt n pepper blast throw the speakers

" omg no not this" i cringe and hide my face in my hands, this was always Ellie and i's song on the karaoke at a little bar called roger red  around from the college campus.

"oh yes we fucking are" she sways side to side, smiling egging me on, giving in i roll the sleeve of my cardigan up getting ready to bust a move.

as limited as we are in the car we try to do the dance moves we made up tp the song all them years ago, laughing and smiling throughout the whole thing singing from the top of our lungs.

before we know it we are pulling up to the dress shop, turning the radio down Ellie  and i cant hold back the laugh after realising how silly we must of looked dancing away in the car to the music.
