When Aurora was born, an evil fairy cursed her
On her sixteenth birthday, she would prick her finger and fall into a deep sleep
All of the kingdom would be put to sleep with her, and she would only wake up with true love's kiss
The evil fairy assumed that true love didn't exist, and she would be able to take over the kingdom
Even if true love did exist, he would also be put to sleep, or so far away that he would never reach there
Aurora was sent off to live with three fairies, where she would never prick her finger
But the evil fairy had a daughter the next year
The daughter didn't grow up to be like her mother
Instead, she disguised herself as a villager when she was thirteen
She met Briar Rose and they became friends
Within a year, the girls had realized they were more than friends
Because you can't escape fate, Aurora pricked her finger on her sixteenth birthday
But the evil fairy never guessed that her own daughter would be Aurora's true love
Since the daughter was also a fairy, she wasn't put to sleep like the others
Immediately following the curse, the evil fairy's daughter kissed Aurora and everyone woke up again
The evil fairy was banished to the Netherworld, never to be seen again
Aurora married the evil fairy's daughter three years later
And they lived happily ever after
