Chapter 10

The morning sunlight bounced off the hood of the range rover as it climbed through the uneven ground and came to a halt in front of a white wooden house.

Krist opened the door and planted his feet firmly on the ground feeling the peace of finally coming home.. Silverwood always made him feel complete and safe..it was his anchor...he felt sad that after he sold it he won't be able to come back again...

He lifted his face to the sunlight and spread his arms as he did a small twirl around...he opened his eyes to see Earth and Mike looking at him with smiles..

"Welcome to Silverwood guys...my home.." Krist laughed happily..

Mike walked around the jeep looking all around him.." It's beautiful Krist..all your descriptions nor the view from the air does it any justice...it's better from here..Nature in all its glory. "

"I know right..I can never get enough of it..I never will.."Krist sighed..

"How big is this plantation you said Krist?" Earth asked surveying the area critically...

"Roughly around 400 acres P'..goes up to that ridge on tat side..halfway down the valley and on this side bordered by the sea facing cliffs.." Krist pointed out the boundaries..

"Do you know how much this s worth?"

"Yeah roughly half a million bhat I guess.."he said disappointed.

" More like around ten million you mean? The cost of land in Phuket made u one rich guy when u inherited this land Krist.."

"Is that right?" Krist asked frowning..how Earth's estimate be so far away from wat Singto had said?and such a huge difference too.

"Wow I would just be content to live off the interest from tat amount Krist.." Mike said laughing..

Krist made a mental note to ask Singto about it the next time they met..

They heard a neigh coming from the stables..Krist's eyes brightened as he began walking towards the barn..

"Hi there old boy.. how're you doing?..hehehe yeah I missed you too...Sorry Dance...no treats this time..I ll bring some carrots for you later boy..ok.." he laughed as he rubbed the horse's mane and saw him nudging his pockets in search of treats..

"Do you always talk to animals like this?" Earth asked watching him amused..

"Yeah, growing up I had not many playmates.  So the cows, horse's, chicken and ducks all became my friends..I used to imagine them as all sorts of characters and act out the parts..Dance was a gift for my 6th birthday. "Krist smiled remembering..

"Must've been good practice for your acting.."

"Yeah tat it was...shall we get unpacked then. I believe u said u had an appointment later?"

" Yeah, I am helping Ice and New search for locations." he groaned..he felt he never wanted to leave Krist's side..the man was slowly wrapping him around his fingers so easily..

Krist jogged up the steps and fit the key in the lock, opening the doors..the luggage was unloaded and the groceries were stacked in the kitchen in a matter of minutes..

Mike was sitting on the kitchen countertop chewing on a carrot as Krist put on a pot of coffee..

"That's the last of the stuff..I guess I should be going then,  " Earth said, almost sad that he had to leave..

"Why don't you stay for lunch P'.. I ll whip something up in a few minutes.."Krist offered..

"No, I can't,  or Ice ll be breathing like a dragon down my neck..they're under a lot of pressure already..come see me out naa.." he said pulling Krist out with him, waving to Mike..
