Once in a lonely sphere
Once hit
Once beaten
Once hidden in the bedroom
Once slapped
Once bitten
Once taken to a doom
Once years passed
Once pain left the eyes
Once shivers no longer lingered
Once numb
Once numb
Once uncaring
Once zombie-like
Once it stopped
Once the screams halted
Once the expressions did not yeild
Once the horror was not shown
Once the torture did not hurt
Once the switch flipped
Once the eyes lit
Once the hate peaked
Once drowned in a bottomless pit
Once the courage stood
Once the anger grew
Once the numbness left
Once the retaliation.... started...
