Alicia was panicking. That by itself is surprising, as she's usually the calm one. But this was a situation that she's never been in before.

What's going on? Simple, Alicia was just babysitting for her neighbor. Here is the backstory: Her neighbor had to go to work suddenly, it was something important apparently, and they had to ask Alicia, who was free(it was summer vacation! She did all her homework already,so she was available.), to babysit their 3 month old child.

Alicia expected it to be easy, it's just a baby right? They just slept most of the time.

it was infact, not easy.

At all.

It was all fine, t'ill the baby started crying. Then, it was a nightmare.

'What does it want? Milk? A diaper change? Ugh, just shut it! ' were some thoughts she had.

Maybe someone else knew what to do! She took out her phone, looking down her contact list.

Mia? No, she's on vacation, It would be a shame to hassle her.

The girls at the academy? No, they live far away.

Bakar? No, he can barely take care of himself.

Ali? Ugh, no matter how much she didn't want to, she knew that he was used to taking care of children, so Ali it was.

She clicked his number, hoping that he'll pick up.

"Hello? Alicia? What's up? A mission?" She heard his voice, that has changed over the years. It was way deeper and more raspy, puberty hit him hard.

"No, I need your help." Alicia blushed, it was embarrassing to admit.

"Oh? That's new, you asking help from me." He teased.

"I don't have time for your teasing, can you come to my house? I have to babysit , but I don't know what to do."

"Yeah, alright, I'll be there in 10 minutes."

Ali ended the call and left to go help Alicia.

Meanwhile, Alicia is trying to calm the baby down. She was rocking the baby back and forth, but to no avail, The baby was still crying.

Alicia heard the familiar sounds of Ali's scooter outside, she came out of the house and called him over,"Come in, please help me. I don't know what I'm doing or what I have to do."

"That's a first for you. Usually it's the other way around. I remember asking you the same question in the past. How the tables turn huh?" He teased.

She rolled her eyes and led him into the room the baby was in.

"He has been crying for half an hour, i have a headache. And I don't know what to do."

"Easy, I'll just make some warm milk. Can you pick him up, rock him back and forth, try and sing a lullaby or something, keep him entertained." He went to the kitchen.

Alicia picked up the baby, rocking him back and forth, she tried distracting the baby with a toy but it wasn't working. She started to sing a lullaby.

Her uncles used to sing this lullaby for her as a kid to make her fall asleep or to stop crying.

Slowly, the baby calmed down and stooped crying.

Ali soon came in with a bottle of warm milk in his hand.

"Here, feed it to him." He whispered, handing over the bottle.

She did as he told her to, she fed the baby and it slowly fell asleep. She placed the young boy in his crib and the two teens exited the room. Alicia sighed,"Finally, he's asleep."

"Your singing was beautiful by the way. That's definitely useful for the future, maybe for your own kids." He smiles, making her blush a tad bit.

"Thank you. For that compliment, and for helping me out."

"You're welcome, this could be one of the times I help you, I owe you a lot for saving me so many times on missions. You have the whole situation handled right? If he starts crying again, it's probably a diaper change, and if that's not it, trying rocking him again. I think I should go home now." He smiles, putting his things back into his backpack.

"How do you know so much about taking care of children anyways?" She asks.

"At first,My neighbor makes me take care of her grandson occasionally, then eventually she started making me babysit him, she pays me too, so that's a bonus." He explained.

"How often does she make you babysit?"

"Maybe once a week, maybe once in two weeks, depends on what's happening. "

"How long have you been babysitting?"

"I think since I was 12, during then the boy I babysat was less than a year old, now he's 4, almost 5." He exited the house, taking his scooter out of his bag.

"4 years, You have a lot of experience with kids don't you?"

"Yeah, it's handy for the future, Maybe for our own kids eh?" He waved goodbye and started to go back to his own home.

Alicia sighed, waving goodbye.

It wasn't until she went back inside her house and sat on the couch, that she realized what he said.

"Yeah, it's handy for the future, Maybe for our own kids eh?"

" Maybe for our own kids eh?"

"Our. own .kids."

Our.

She could feel heat rising up to her cheeks, a bright red color was spreading on her face, it was a mix of anger, embarrassment, shock and awe. This boy was way too smooth with his flirting.

She took one of the throw-pillows from the couch and screamed, that boy is going to be dead the next time she sees him. She's going to kill him.

"Ugh... He's so annoying!" She screamed into the pillow. Trying her best not to wake the baby in the next room. Her face was still red, eyebrows knitted in frustration, a pout on her face.

'But maybe, just maybe, that's exactly why she likes him.'

She shoos the thought away, that is impossible, right?

Right?
