"Today is October 1st, which to anyone who is a wizard means that this is when the real fun happens, it's also the month of the worst (or best) deaths in the wizarding world lily potter and James potter's death, harry potter's parents. If you were a pureblood who cared about bloodlines this was one of the worst days because your leader lord Voldemort was beaten by a one-year-old, whoever if you were a muggle-born it was the best day of your life because the man who made you scared was finally gone and his followers were locked up, for me and my family we don't speak about this day as me and my whole family have the dark mark, which if you did not know was a mark that was given to Voldemort's most loyal followers, my parents both have the mark which had given me and my twin brother it as well, we keep it hidden so that we do not get in trouble. My family and I are not death eaters nor have we ever been, my grandparents were loyal followers of Voldemort and had given my mother the dark mark, my best friend's parents also had gotten the dark mark. Draco Malfoy had gotten the mark with my mother as they were destined to marry, this did not play out as my mother had married my father, professor Severus snape who had gotten the dark mark in his last year of school here at Hogwarts along with his friend regulus black, regulus had gone against the dark lord and lost his life in a cave. My father was a spy for Dumbledore and had the inside knowledge. He had known where the potters were living as he was in love with Lily Evans (harry's mother) and had tried to win her back however she married James potter a pureblood, who did not care for blood wars and loved Lily for who she was, muggle-born and all. Scorpuis' parents had both gotten the dark mark, his father with my mother and his mother just before Phaedra was born, she had wanted to get it to be a part of Draco's life as this was a part of him that he had tried to hide from her but she found out and demand to get the mark and so she did and 2 months later Phaedra was born with the mark and she has been hiding it her whole life. Scorpius had also gotten the dark mark at birth yet he doesn't try to hide it, yes he will wear long sleeves in the summer but he will also wear tank tops and show it off like its a battle scar he says that "it's a battle our families have fought and they lost and I want to show that I'm not sad that we lost I'm glad. I did not ask for this mark if people have a problem with something that I was born with, they will speak to me about it.'' I think he's very brave, as for me and my twin brother Oliver are not brave. We keep our marks hidden under long shirts and makeup if we need to go with short sleeves. I believe Oliver is ashamed of our parent's choice to get the mark, my parents have explained that for my mother it was not her choice to get it as our grandparents had forced her at the age of ten, my father did want the mark and that was his decision. I cover my mark because I am scared people will think I am one of the purebloods who care about bloodlines and hate muggle-borns. I'm scared that people will not want to talk to me because they are scared. This is why I hate October; it reminds me of what I'm not. "
