Corona and his wife, Coroe were sipping on blood colored juice while feeling the speedy blowing air through their balcony. It was a serene evening with no disturbance at all. Even the birds and animals were hidden in their homes due to the fear of most powerful family of Corona.

Recently, due to god's grace, Corona became successful in ruling the lives of the most dangerous animals, the humans. Since ages, humans were the one who, with their cunning mind, were changing the rules of system world.

Now, this was the time for revenge.

"Corona, how many of our children do you think got successful in capturing human body?" Coroe asked, out of blue, while she gazed at the almost black sky.

She could see the hidden moon by now with his family of stars and planets. It was mocking on how her husband refused to listen to her whenever she would try to talk some sense into him.

Her husband chuckled, raising his cup to his lips.

"Everyone. Afterall, our children are made up of solid protein and rna. Those low piece human would be able to do nothing this time." He sneered, with a strange fire of rage burning in his eyes.

He looked murderous and he was murderous, he had killed many already by making many of his own kind.

Their conversation came to a halt when they heard a knock.

"Enter," Coroe spoke, relaxing back into her seat.

Corona and Coroe looked up to find the chief head of their mission, looking at them with a remorseful face.

"Speak," Corona ordered, slightly frustrated by the fallen face of his worker.

He was a virus who wanted everything perfect. He could not afford to make even a single mistake this time.

Last time, humans found the antidote for their death and almost swept off their existence from the world. But thanks to the some researchers of the world, and especially bats in China, who helped Corona empire to rebuilt their existence with more features and power.

This time, they were back to live for infinity. They had a simple agenda, to kill humans and become immortal.

"Sire, our informants came across a human newspaper recently and the news is not good for us."

"Would you start speaking the news or not?"

The chief head flinched at the harshness in the voice of his employer. Corona had a big and bad temper.

"The researchers of the human world used a technique called cryo-electron microscopy to take detailed pictures of the structure of the spike protein in our army. This involves freezing virus particles and firing a stream of high-energy electrons through the sample to create tens of thousands of images. These images are then combined to yield a detailed 3D view of the virus. They have already found that we are much more different than our species of 2002," He paused, sighing gloomily, "I'm afraid, sire, that they would be able to find out vaccine soon."

"They have found that we bind to ACE2 on human cells." He further informed, crossing his spike like fingers nervously.

Corona stiffened with the new found information. As much as he was sure this time that they would only win, he could not the take the risk of bringing his over confidence on his way to success.

He had to put an 'ok'mark to their existence. He wanted to confirm that they could be immortal, just like some other asexually reproducing organisms, even though they were just viruses. Nothing but protein but they had life too.

"Leave and ask our army heads to prepare new viruses of different strain soon. We will land new strain on United Kingdom first," Corona ordered, narrowing his spiny eyes, "Also, how is everything going in China?"

"Things are not good in China, sire. Humans there are getting back on their work."

Corona sighed heavily while focusing his menacing glare at his chief head.

"Attack India and America, then. Population of Indian is quite good too. We would easily survive there. "

"Right away, sire." He saluted and left, thanking the charms who saved his non existent life today.

"Corona, what would you do now?" Coroe asked, frowning in tension.

"What do you mean, my queen?"

"We have killed almost millions of people by now. Why don't you see that those humans are smarter? They will find a solution for their problem too and would kill us. Our whole family, Corona." Coroe spilled out her tension in front of her husband, disturbed over the whole ordeal.

This was the fourth time when she was trying to speak her frustration out but like other times, he neglected her emotions, scoffing slightly.

"Are you afraid of those low lifes? You are our queen and if somebody would get to know that their own queen is this much weak, what would they learn from you then?" He snorted, mocking her heartlessly, "Grow some spikes, Coroe."

She huffed, intensifying her glare at him. He would never understand her concern.

Thousands of humans were dying everyday and she knew that karma would hunt back for them and kill her husband too. She wanted to live her life with him as much as she could. She did not want to involve her whole family into his mad business of killing humans.

She scoffed, thinking he was afterall really heartless. Viruses don't have heart like humans but they do have spikes like cactus.

"You would understand only when you would see me die. I wish that comes too soon because it has become suffocating to live with you, Corona." She muttered, smiling bitterly at him.

Corona flinched at the bitter words and glared at his beloved wife.

"Coroe!" He shouted, pinning her with his gaze.

She rolled her spiny eyes and stood up, huffing at him. Corona could only see her leaving him alone at the balcony of their room. He sighed and clenched his teeth, promising to the god that he would never let anyone harm his wife.

She was his, only his.

Not even god had the power to separate two loving viruses.
