I sigh as I walk down the hallway of the school. Cringing at every excited squeal and question regarding the new students. I mean, don't get me wrong new students are great. This school could use new people every once and awhile, but come on; not even five minutes in and the majority of the talk is based on the supposed new students. I almost sure this could be considered a form of stalking.
I swear if I hear one more squeal I might just punch myself in the face
I let loose one more large sigh and stop at my locker, and begin to retrieve my needed books. As I turn around to head to class, I am stopped by one of my friends rushing towards me.
¨Nikki, their here! Their finally here!¨ she whisper yells in my ear, and begins to hypervenilate from excitement.
¨Kelly, calm down. Whose here?¨ I say.
¨They are!¨ she squeals and runs off to join the growing mob of students down the hallway.
¨Oh...¨ I say and shrug, turning in the opposite direction and heading off to class. Upon entering, I find the class strangely empty and quiet with the few stragglers who either didn't care for the new students arrival, or had yet to hear about it. Walking to my usual seat, I place my stuff down and begin to read until class starts. Suddenly, the door swings open and two guys rush in and quickly and quietly close it.
¨We escaped¨ one says, giving a sigh of relief. The other one nods and follows suite, sighing and enjoying his temporary liberation from the mob.
¨The new students, I presume?¨ I ask them, laying the book down and studying them intently.
¨Yes...¨ one answers cautiously, slowly edgeing towards the door, a look a terror on his face.
I begin to chuckle, only serving to unnerve them more. Just before they open the door I say ¨I wouldn't go out there, the mob is still searching for you.¨ At that they stop, look at me, then at the door and sighed.
¨Fine you got us, just make it quick.¨ the black-haired one sighs out dramatically and begins to slump to the ground, placing his hand upon his forehead in a woe-is-me kinda way and closing his eyes.
A grin spreads across my face as I begin to laugh once more. ¨My brother won't be happy, I think I just found someone who can rival his dramactic self.¨ I say, amusement lacing the words.
He opens one eye and peers at me curiously. ¨So, your not going to maul us?¨ he asks suspiciously
¨Not at all.¨ i say, turning back to my book. ¨and they won't purposefully maul you, their just excited. New students are quite rare for this school.¨ I explain
¨Oh..good?¨ he says questionably, and pauses. ¨Where have my manners gone, i'm Kuro Smith and this is Jace.
¨Nikki Fae.¨ I say nodding. ¨Pleased to meet you.¨
