Beep!Beep!Beep!

The shrill scream of an alarm clock pierces the quiet and relaxed atmosphere of the house, effectively jolting me awake and sending me over the side of my bed in a complex tangle of blanket and person.

I hiss in pain. ¨Ouch, well that's gonna hurt awhile.¨ I stand and glare at the culprit, mentally smashing the clock into bits.

¨Your lucky I was told not to break anymore alarm clocks.¨ I mutter to myself.

Turning the offending noise off, I turn to the mess on the floor and pick it up, tidying my bed in the process. After completing that, I head towards the closet to choose my clothes for the day. Without hesitation I grab the closest pair of jeans and a shirt, get dressed, and proceed downstairs for breakfast, hairbrush in hand.  As I reach the kitchen, I pull my now brushed hair back, and comtemplate what to eat.

¨Eggs, bacon, and toast sound good but I don't feel like cleaning that up...cereal it is.¨ I say, turning to the cabinet and pulling out my favorite cereal and any other materials needed. After preparing the cereal I swiftly eat. Turning around, I place the bowl in the sink only to feel a warm breath down my neck.

¨Good morning Mr. NotCreepyAtAll.¨ I say turning around and flicking my brother upside the head.

¨Your so mean.¨ He says, pouting.

¨I try.¨ I answer, a smile on my face. I head back upstairs to complete my daily routine. I grab my bag and head to the oh-so-amazingly-awesome place known as school. Notice the sarcasm dripping from that comment?

¨Hurry up drama king or your gonna be late to school! Again!¨ I yell as I head out the front door and into the yard.

The faint sound of his voice drifts though the closing door.  ¨Yeah, yeah i'm coming.¨

Chuckling to myself, I begin to walk to school. Quickly becoming bored, I begin to take notice of my surroudings. The slight chill in the air, how the dawn sun reflects of the lightly dew coated grasses, and even how the air smells of rain and earthy scents. A gentle breeze flutters through, causing the trees to sway and filling the slience with the sound of dancing leaves.

¨Wait up!¨ A loud voice yells, disturbing the peace and causing me to jump a bit. I look back and see the outline of my brother, running down the sidewalk quickly. Too quickly actually. I stumble slightly and side step, just barely missing being trampled by him.

¨Sorry.¨ he chuckles out. ¨Not really, but still.¨

I grin and give a playful glare. ¨Graceful as always¨ I say. As we approach the school he breaks away to go hang around with his friends. As I enter the school, I know something is off by the tension hanging heavy in the air.

¨Uh oh. This can't be good.¨ I mutter when I hear a group of girls speaking of new students.
