"Two more minutes and Hee-Jun would've lost his shit again." Ye-Eun stated as Ga-Hyeon walked into the office, barely keeping herself on her feet as her knees were unsteady. "What's in the sack? You got a Christmas party after work and you planned on playing Santa?"

"A funeral, thought I'd give the body a last tour around the town before it becomes one with the mud in the cemetery." the brunette dragged the bin bag even closer to the middle of the room, letting it lean against her desk as she took a seat on the chair. "Where's Tae-Il and Ji-won?" she was mostly concerned about her assistant, as the work would be divided differently without him, and it's the last thing she needs after last night.

"Ji-Won's late, the usual." Ji-Eun, her older co-worker responded this time, sipping from her tea cup before placing it back on the table.

"Yet Hee-Jun sunbaenim couldn't care less, but if I don't show up half an hour earlier, it's a problem." Ga-Hyeon pointed out.

"He's biased and you don't play janggi with him while on breaks."

"I heard that!" the one in question raised his voice from the other room, where he was making Ye-Eun and himself a coffee.

"I know!" Ji-Eun screamed back.

"Any news about the girl yesterday? Ga-Hyeon questioned, opening the threat keeping the sack closed.

"Cops are searching. The car is still unidentified though, but we've got an investigation board, Ji-Eun and I made it 'cause we arrived earlier." Ye-Eun turned the board facing the window so Ga-Hyeon could see it.

"What we know for now.." Ji-Eun approached it with a metalic stick in her hand so she could point to the pics better. "Her name is Kim Soo-Min, born in 2003, living with her brother and her father's parents. As in for parents, the father is on the wanted list, he disappeared in 2005 from a gas station. The mother is Kim Tae-Eun, she's working overboard as a translator."

"A messed up family tree." Ga-Hyeon acknowledged.

"I know." Hee-Jun appeared from nowhere with papers covered in fresh ink, gluing them on the board with magnets. "This is the brother, Kim Min-Sik, born in '95, the stubborn saxophonist that chased Soo-Min's abductors last night."

"I'd say inteprid rather than stubborn. His outcome might not have been the best, but his intentions? Understandable." Ye-Eun corrected the older, gaining an unimpressed look.

"Stop glorifying an impulsive action like you have all the time in the world to do so!" he scolded her, standing up so suddenly that even his chair was shaken up by his movement, almost falling on the floor. "Go deal with some divorce papers." Hee-Jun murmured, before getting back to his coffee.

"Ignore him, he's jealous of the youth he has, which he lost like..twenty years ago? Grumpy ass." Ji-Eun patted her back with a reassuring smile shaping her red lips.

"Who's getting the case, anyway? Better not be the walking coffin, else the poor girl will be found when she'd have turned into ashes." Ga-Hyeon prayed the male did not hear her way of describing him.

"Most definitely not Tae-Il. Could've been his first case, but he requested today that he'd like to finish the prison - teaching program before he gets to do any work."

"So he's not coming to the office at all?"

"Something like that. I'll miss him, he was faster than the delivery boy when going out for food." Ye-Eun sighed, starring blankly at his empty desk before going back to her paper work.
