part three

"Do you live close from here?" Harry asked, pushing his cart next to mine as we walked towards our vehicles. I'd be lying if I said that wasn't the longest trip I've had to the grocery store and I didn't enjoy it. But how couldn't I? Harry and I spent almost fifteen minutes walking around the store, simply talking and not getting a single thing. Half of that time, consisting of Harry still trying to get my number in his phone.

"I don't live too far. Maybe two or three minutes away. And you?" I answered, stopping once I saw my red car in front of me.

"I live about ten minutes away. This was my first time coming to this place, and I don't regret it." Harry said, finishing his sentence with a slight wink.

"Why'd you suddenly decide to come here, and not a grocery store closer to where you live?"

He shrugged his shoulders. "I guess I just wanted to."

"You make no sense." I scoffed, pulling out my keys from my back pocket. I opened the back trunk of my car and started to grab my groceries. Harry only stood there, gazing my every move, leaning on his cart handle.

We repeated the same actions for a while, in complete silence. Harry staring, as I put my things away.

"So did I qualify?" He suddenly asked, breaking the quietude.

I placed the last bag of food in the trunk. "Qualify for what?"

"To be one of the persons that can take your number."

Without thinking, I burst out laughing.

"Uh, I don't know, did you?"

"I believe I did," Harry smirked. "I mean, I think we socialized quite nicely. We have much in common, you laugh at my jokes, admit it, we're perfect for each other, Niall."

I wasn't sure if he was serious or not. Telling by his complacent smile, I knew he was joking. In some way.

"You're quite cocky, aren't ya'?"

"I woudn't say cocky, just content."

I sighed and rolled my eyes dramatically. "Guess I have no choice."

As I took out my phone, I heard Harry chuckling. We quickly traded phones and exchanged phone numbers.

"I believe this is it, Niall Horan." He said.

"I believe it is, Styles."

"This won't be the last time I'll be seeing you, right?" Harry questioned, slowly backing away with his cart. I shook my head no.

In a few seconds, he was already a few meters away from me, his back facing me.

"Hey, Harry?" I called, loudly enough for him to hear. He turned his body to look at me.

I stood in thought for a second or two, my eyes on him.

Don't do it, Niall.

"Good night." I finally spoke and gave him a small smile. He only snickered, and waved good bye.

Silly Niall. You actually think someone would want to complete that stupid bucket list with you?
