hello lovely ppl!!! i'm super excited to start writing here! i think you'll like this one :) (i don't have too much planned out yet but i like what i have so far)

"oh?" was the only word that came out.

"neens?" he said with a puzzled face.

"um- yeah?" she said after shaking her head briefly.

"you froze and zoned out"

"im fine" she said finally letting a smile fall on her lips.

"you don't seem fine" he said as he rubbed his thumb over her hand.

"no it's just-" she sighed as she fiddled with her fingers laying herself on her back.

"neens" he said looking at her for an answer.

she sighed again, "i applied for columbia, but i don't know if i got in" she said quietly.

"oh?"

"oh indeed."

he rubbed her arm up and down.

"im 100% sure you got it" he said laying next to her.

"but what if i didn't, what if i end up staying here and you're off in new york. what'll we do then?" she said as her eyes glossed over.

"we'll work it out, i promise. we are not breaking up" he said rubbing his thumb over her cheek as she faced the ceiling. 

"i need that in writing." nini said sitting up.

"what?" he said letting out a breathy laugh.

she got up and grabbed a pen and paper shoving it in his direction.

his playful grin dropped once he saw the serious face behind her sad eyes.

"of course" he agreed standing up to jot a few words down.

he wrote on the paper in his terrible handwriting saying: nothing. absolutely, nothing. will get in the way of i, richard bowen. and you, nina salazar-roberts.

she folded it and put it on the table next to her bed.

she jumped on him, hugging him. which made him land on the bed.

"im gonna miss you" she said in a sad baby voice.

"hey, you're gonna get in neens" he said rubbing her back.

"you don't know that" she said thinking at loud.

there was a knock on the door that made the two sit up.

nini wiped her damp face, "come in" she sniffles as ricky rubbed her back.

"nini, it's from columbia" dana said as her and carol walked into her room.

nini and ricky glanced at each other briefly before dana handed her the letter.

her hand shook as she unpackaged the envelope.
