What The Wind Carried

Chapter 4

The house where the party was is about fifteen minutes from Avery's house. Once we go inside it's everything I imagined people smoking by the pool, red cups of mystery alcohol, and girls and guys dancing. I stand by the stairs with April because we are waiting for Avery and Jackson to come back with drinks. When someone taps my shoulder, it's Austin " Hey Maria, it's cool that you came. Wanna drink?" I can't help but blush " it's cool my friend went to get drinks." he WINKS at ME! "Okay then, see you around! Oh and we should dance together later." I feel butterflies "okay bye till then." April scrunches her nose and makes kissy noises at me after he's walked away.

Once I have gone through two drinks I feel the alcohol kick in, so I decide it would be best to dance it off. I walk up to Avery, she was talking to a girl I have never seen around school. She smiles when she sees me coming towards her " Hey Maria, this is Sammy, she is in our grade." I smile "Hi Sammy, I am Maria..." I put my lips to Avery's ears and whisper in the most seductive voice I have "Dance with me." I pull away and see a hint of rosiness on her face. She yells over the music as I pull her away "Bye Sammy, see you around." I can't believe myself, this is the most courage I have felt in a long time. I put my face in the crook of her neck as we dance and sway to the loud music. we are in such a big crowd it feels like we are alone. When the music begins to speed up she turns around and begins to roll her body. Hottest shit I have ever seen. I get lost in my own movements when I feel someone behind me. I turn to see a very attractive boy with dark honey colored eyes with a black ring on the edges. We are both smiling a little too wide, so turn my back to him and resume, but this time his hand on my waist. I feel the buzz start to go away so I smile at the boy and nodded toward the kitchen. We both made our way to the kitchen. when we enter I see Avery talking to a boy she stared to dance with. She winks at me. I turn to the boy and take and take a sip of my drink " So, hi my name is Maria" he lets out a little chuckle "I am Justin, so your the girl Austin hit with the football huh?" A thick blush forms on my face "yup that's me, so your the host?" He bites his bottom lip a little bit "yes I am, wanna get some fresh air?" his hazel eyes pierce into mine. I nod and follow behind him.

We sit on some deck chair right next to his pool. Right when I was about to speak I see Austin walk out of the sliding doors. He smiles and walks up to us sitting next to me. As he dabs up Justin he says " So I see you've met Maria." Justin shifts his eyes to me " She is pretty hard to miss." Ugh I feel my face heat up. Austin grabs my hand " You are right she is hard to miss, but sadly I'm going to have to steal her away now." Before I know it me and Austin are in the kitchen together. We both down our drinks and mutually decided to dance. He nods asking for permission to touch me which I gladly put his hands on my waist. We get more comfortable and I decide to turn my back to his and we go to town swaying and moving with the beat. We both turn our heads when we hear someone yell "SKINNY DIPPING BITCHESS!!!" and we follow the crowd out to the back. Everyone begin taking off their clothes and jumping In the pool. I turn to Austin and ask him to unzip my dress, and he obliges. I slip it off exposing myself and then quickly jump into the pool leaving my dress and Austin. I am not self conscious, but I don't want anyone looking for too long either. I watch Austin run and jump into the pool, he has very much abs. Once he's out of view my eyes focus on Avery who was getting out of the pool. God she makes me question my whole life . Her hair is slick back and wet what a combination. I can't hide my attraction anymore not after this. Austin swims in front of me covering my view, breaking my trance. "Hey you down for pool volley ball?" My eyes widen " hell yes, but is it hard I've never played?" He laughs " you will be just fine."

After a game I got tired and decide to get out. Austin still wanted play, so I told him to stay and have fun. I looked for my dress, but of course this would happen to me it was gone. I have no choice but to walk around in my underwear to look for it. After 10 minutes I decide to look for Justin maybe he can lend me some clothes. I find him on the side of his house talking to a guy with shoulder length blonde hair. I smile trying to hide my embarrassment " Hey Justin I was wondering if you could lend me some I can find my dress."   He nods bye to his friend and begins to take of his shirt. After I put it on he leads me upstairs to his room. He hands me a pair of plain black sweatpants and turns around so I can put them on. I laugh " thank you For this" he gets off his bad and get closer to me push a wet strand of hair out of my face " it's no problem really, they look better on you anyway." I blush immediately. His smile is too pretty for me to handle. We both make our way out of his room but as we get closer to the stair I see Avery making her way up in a sloppy way. When I get to her she is clearly wasted. She smiles up at me and says "there you are, I've beeeen loookingg for youu. Loook! I have yourr dress." I nod " oh thanks I was looking for it." Gosh she is so cute. She looks up and notices Justin and scrunches her face " HeY ! Youuu! Watch your self because she is MiNe!! I want HER!" I feel butterflies erupt in my stomach. She then look me up and down, then frowns " What are you wearing? What are you doing with him?" Me and Justin look at each other and try to keep in our laughs. She yells " WHat are you guys laughing AT!! And Maria Go change!" She hands me the dress and pulls me into the bathroom that was near Justin's room. With her hands on her hips she waits for me to start changing. I begin to slip out of Justin's clothes. Avery smiles " you are so perfect." I blush. I put on the dress and ask Avery to zip it up for me. She bites her lip as she does it, which makes me feel all sorts of things.

After I return the clothes to Justin I gather the group and we all decide to go home. After Dropping off Avery and April Jackson drops me off last. It's about 1 am when I get inside of my house. I quietly walk to my room and change into sleeping clothes and jump into bed. I can't help but feel like a cloud. I don't know if it's the alcohol, Avery's drunken outburst, Justin's sweetness, or Austin's company. But I do know it feel nice.
