Can you hear me, my heart whispers.
Can you see the agony, the pain I bleed?
Listen to it gushing forth in floods.
Wreckless abandon, risking it all to be emptied.
To be heard. No understood.
Can you hear me now, the whisper faint in the wind.
Don't you see yet?
The blood of my love.
Smothering everything.
Crying out to everyone, to no one, to you.
Desperation.
In vain these floods flow.
You refuse to look. Refuse to hear.
Clamoring for sympathy, empathy, understanding.
Like clutching at the wind.
It's hopeless.
Your Ray-Bans block out the filthy sun, the smothering blood rays trying to melt your heart.
Holding onto pride, you see only what you want.
Blasting Bublé in your ears, 'Feeling Good' ringing on your lips, sounding off your tongue.
You bleach away all traces of the bloody scene.
Hard as steel, broken glass beneath.
If only you would understand.
Risk the warmth my love desires to give.
If you'd let it in.. maybe then you could finally feel.
