One time you told me to read this one book
Since you had the biggest smile on your face while holding it out
How can I say no?
Sure I liked the book
but the fact it had an ending scared me
what happened to the main characters?
were they really happy in the end?
Or was that just what the author portrayed them to be?
If our lives were really just books
were all the people you met
or all the moments you been through
just chapters in your book?
one where once you are done with a chapter
you move on to the next one with just a flip of a page?
Or were the people you met just side characters?
side characters with few words of descriptions with no real face
like they are just dust you swipe away off a relic to get something to shine brighter?
Were the moments you've experience just a build up for something better?
That's why I never liked books
Because what if I was just that dust
just that side character with no face
where our moments is just one chapter out of many
and where the chapter ends so you move on to someone else
I know I'm paranoid but what if
you finish with me but start a sequel with someone else that provides you a happier ending
leaving the original not as well as the sequel.
