(Alphys POV)

How am I supposed to tell him? He would be devastated. I was pacing around, I didn't know what to say. What was I going to say to Papyrus? Sans is not doing good to the point where I'm starting to consider...other options. I can't tell Papyrus that though because I don't know what he would do if I did.

(Papryus POV)

It..has gotten quiet. I really don't like it. It was driving me mad. my soul felt heavy with concern. 'MAYBE SANS ISN'T WAKING UP?' no..'MAYBE HE ISN'T GOING TO WAKE UP..' ..no..stop it. 'MAYBE I WASN'T FAST ENOUGH. MAYBE I WAS TOO SLOW AND NOW.." don't you even dare. '...NO. I AM THE GREAT PAPYRUS. MY SPRINTING WAS TOP NOTCH AND SPEEDIEST ANYONE COULD EVER IMAGINE! THERE IS NO WAY THAT I COULD POSSIBLE LOSE TO SOMETHING AS SIMPLE AS TIME!!' I smacked myself out of it. "I HAVE TO STAY POSITIVE!!" I yelled without thinking.

I realized how loud that came out, and looked over and Undyne who was looking at we with concern, and surprise. We looked at each other for a while before she jumped up and yelled "YEAH! YOU DID GREAT!! SO INTIMIDATE THOSE NEGATIVE THOUGHTS AWAY!". I smiled. She really was a good friend...We spent the next little while, yelling positive things, until Alphys walked out, not looking very happy.

"OH! HELLO DR. ALPHYS!" I said. she looked up at me. "h-hi P-Papyrus..." she responded. "SO! HOW IS MY BROTHER?!" I asked. Despite the positivity before, I was still very worried. Alphys kept her gaze fixed to the floor. "...Not..g-g-great...honestly....Pa-Papyrus..I-I think...that if h-his condition d-doesn't improve tha-that I'll have to...resort t-to o-oth-other methods....riskier ones.." she said. I practically felt my soul drop...I couldn't believe what I was hearing. "..what..?" I said, my voice hardly above a whisper. "..I'm sorry..Pa-Papyrus.." she said quietly. What was I to do..? I was praying that it was just an overreaction and that he would make it...that I was wrong and that my brother was going to be just fine.
