It was finally Saturday afternoon.
The morning had felt as though the time was passing slower than usual while Mafuyu was studying for our upcoming exams.
Mafuyu was excited to meet with Uenoyama. Something was telling him that this was going to be the beginning of an interesting friendship.
Uenoyama messaged Mafuyu, telling him where exactly to meet him. Uenoyama was planning on revealing the melody to Mafuyu as he had composed the guitar portion for the song.
Mafuyu quickly made his way to where Uneoyama was awaiting him. He smiled and gave a small wave causing Uenoyama to look away as he was a bit embarrassed.
"Where are we going?" Mafuyu asked and Uenoyama smiled as they walked side by side.
"You're coming to the studio." Uenoyama stated. "You'll meet the rest of the band today. I figured you wanted to see us play since you were so interested in music."
Mafuyu nodded his head in agreement as he stared ahead.
He had never seen a band play in front of him and only him. What were Uenoyama's bandmates like? Were they also nice or perhaps they were just as dedicated as Yuki was to his band.
Mafuyu was curious to know how the melody would sound when Uenoyama plays his guitar.
Between walking while taking in the surroundings and holding small conversations, they both arrived to the designated studio Uenoyama's band uses.
"What's that?" Mafuyu asked as he saw Uenoyama plug a small box alongside the large amplifier.
"This lets your guitar sound a certain way." Uenoyama answered as he finished setting up his guitar.
Without another word Uenoyama looked at Mafuyu, flashed him a smile and began strumming his guitar.
The melody Mafuyu had hummed was now taking form as the strings played by Uenoyama added another layer of depth to the sound.
Mafuyu's eyes widen as he took in the moment. His mind was remembering everything so that he could picture later when he was alone.
He wanted to do more.
Mafuyu's mind wondered what it would sound like once the instrumental part was done completely and all that was left were the lyrics.
What would he write? What story did he want to tell the world?
Uenoyama's pride swelled as he saw how entranced Mafuyu was with his guitar skills.
Uenoyama was known to be a genius after all. He really did live up to his reputation.
"What do you think of it?" Uenoyama asked Mafuyu whose eyes could not hide the pleasure they felt from hearing the melody from the guitar.
"It feels like a dream." Mafuyu said causing Uenoyama to slightly tilt his head as he didn't expect such a response.
Before Uenoyama could reply Mafuyu's phone rang.
It was Yuki.
"Excuse me." Mafuyu said as he answered the phone call, excusing himself from the practice room.
Mafuyu walked a bit further down the hallway before sitting on a bench.
"What are you up to tonight?" Yuki asked.
"Tonight?" Mafuyu paused. "I don't think I have any plans?"
Yuki could sense the hesitation in Mafuyu's tone of voice which caused a bit of curiosity to stir within him.
