Smile (Levi x Reader) [ON HOLD]

Chapter 9

After waiting for the water to boil, you put it into a tea pot and grab 2 tea cups as well as 2 tea bags, specifically black tea.

You put the tea bags inside the cups and place them on a tray. You finally pore the water in carefully to not burn yourself. Levi didn't seem like the type to put sugar in his tea so you decided to only put some in yours.

Finally you grab the tray with both of your teas and quickly but carefully head towards Levi's room.

You hesitate to knock for a few seconds but then finally find the guts to knock.

"Captain Levi?" You hesitantly ask.

"Hm? Come in?" He ask in a confused tone.

You open the door slowly and walk inside closing the door behind you. The whole time Levi not looking up at you.

"Why are you up so late and what do you need?" He coldly asks.

"I couldn't sleep and so I went to make some tea and when I passed by your office, I saw the lights still on so I decided to make you tea since i thought you couldn't sleep either..." You said as you walked towards him to place the tray down even though you were kinda scared to get to close. His eyes widen a little when he looks up at you but they suddenly go back to his cold gaze.

"Tch. Thank you."

"Yeah no problem.. I should get going now!" You smiled as you were about to grab the tray and leave but before you could Levi grabs your wrist making your eyes widen.

" Just stay here till you finish it." He says while letting go of your wrist. You quickly back up and turn around to try to catch your breath from the sudden touch.

"Tch now what's wrong." He ask which makes you turn around with a smile.

"Nothing i'm fine!" Let's just drink our tea before it gets cold!" You grab your tea cup and sit on the chair infront of Levi's desk.

~Levi's Point Of View~

I don't know what got into me when I told her to stay but i guess it's to late to change my mind.

While drinking our tea in silence, I start to wonder why my sudden action early seemed to terrify her. The look in her eyes when I suddenly grabbed her wrist was surprising. I know usually when I touch any other cadet it's cause they're scared of me but that look was different from the others.

I groan and take a sip of my tea making Y/n look at me.

"What's wrong?" Y/n says with a small smile.

"Tch. Nothing. You should finish your tea so that you can head to bed." I say as I take another sip.

"I'm still not tired but I have a question!?" She says with excitement and nervousness coming out of her voice as if she really want to know something but she's afraid to ask.

"What."

"Why do you hold your tea cup like that?" She chuckles.

"Tch that's none of your business."

"Please I just wanna know, I won't laugh!" She says while trying her best not to laugh.

"When I was younger I held a cup normally till it broke in my hand and so since then I refused to use the handle. There happy brat." I say while looking down at my tea cup. Suddenly I hear a small chuckle coming from her making me look at her with a cold glare.

"You said you wouldn't laugh!"

"I know I know sorry!" She says as she burst out laughing.

"Add another month to cleaning my office for laughing brat." I scold her.

"Nooo i'm sorry I'll do anything but that! I'll bring you tea every night till I get eaten by a titan instead of cleaning for another month!" She pouts.

"Tch. Fine. Now get out and head to bed, you got training in a few hours." She gets up and places our cups on the tray.

"Goodnight Captain Levi!" She says with a smile before leaving me alone in my office with my thoughts.

She's definitely interesting. I'm more curious now then I was before. She's always happy and smiling but they seem so fake. Maybe im just over looking it...
