He walked out of the prison after experiencing death first hand, afraid of everything. He sees his hotel that was once his pride and joy now overtaken by people who don't respect him. He turns around and sees his best friend staring at him as if he was still dead. Nobody believed he survived.. maybe because they thought he was weak? Maybe because they looked down on him? That never hurt him though... what hurt him most was seeing his best friend hanging out with someone new.. his replacement.
