"I need to get that file."

You were standing in front of the police station as you thought about a plan to get inside and grab your brother's file. You knew your brother murdered your father so there should be a file about him. You spotted a man going out of the station so you decided to follow him.

Yeah, looks like you're going to threaten him to get the file.

You continued to follow him but quickly hid when a voice from the shadows called out the man. "Beaman,"

"Jesus Christ!" Chuck Beaman, Detective Patch's co-worker and partner. exclaimed in surprise as Diego stepped out from the shadows. "You shouldn't be here."

"I need to look at a file. Guy named Harold Jenkins."

'Shit. They're looking for him. I have to get my hands on that file before they do.' You told to yourself in thoughts.

"No, you need to leave town. I shouldn't be telling you this, but they're looking at you for her murder." Beaman warned.

Diego shook his head. "You can't be serious."

"Your prints were all over the crime scene. You two had a lot of heated arguments over the years. It doesn't look good, that's all I'm saying."

Diego sighed. "Unbelievable."

"The only reason I'm telling you this is 'cause I know you and her used to be close. Personally, I think you're a real pain in the ass. I also know you'd never do anything like that."

Beaman gave Diego something that you couldn't see clearly. "Just do me a favor and just stay out of sight, until I have more to go on."

"I will," Diego said. "I just... I can't leave without that file."

"You understand that I could lose my job, right?"

"That file, it won't... bring Patch back, but it could save some lives. I can't explain to you how. I... I just need you to trust me."

You watched as Beaman stared at him for a while before agreeing and told Diego to stay in the alley to avoid suspicion. You quietly stepped back so you could go to the other side and follow Beaman but you accidentally hit a metallic object causing you to hide again.

Diego was alarmed and took out his knife. He was about to come in your direction but Beaman finally came with the file. "Here. This is if the file. This is the last time I'm helping you, Diego."

Diego sighed. "Alright."

Once Beaman was gone, you quickly jumped out from your hiding spot and tackled Diego from behind. Diego quickly walked backward causing your body to hit against the wall. You fell to the ground as Diego faced you. "(Y/n)?"
