< Shelby Summers P.O.V >

Raindrops are falling as I stare outside my window. It's cold, it's raining, and the atmosphere here is sad.

My name is Shelby Summers; I'm the daughter of Sarani Anne and Hakoda Summers.

Im a music lover. You know that awesome feeling when you hear music...it makes you jump out of joy.Somewhat it gives you peace and serenity inside.

Because for me,music is one way to reach into your heart and somehow expresses ones feelings.

I've always dreamed of making a huge impact in the music industry.A singer to be frank, though Im not that sure of my voice, if its good enough.....

My dad once told me,if music really is my passion,And if I toss a little soul and sprinkle a lot of heart in it then yes.Im likely to accomplish my dreams.

But he would never forget to say...

"Shelby, whatever happens.Praise the Lord always.Because people might give you a thousand reasons to give up.God will always give you a billion reasons to stand up and finish the fight."

My dad's a very good man.And was a very gifted musician; I always loved listening to him play music.... His voice, the way he sings is just breathtaking.

Someday I wanna be just like him.

Though it's just sad he won't be with me every step of the way.

Because...........

He died saving a little girl from an out of control truck driver.

Tomorrow is his burial.

Am I bitter towards the little girl?

I wish I was not,

sad to say I am.

Her family gave us a little help in our finances, even gave me a scholarship in a school they owned. It's a surprise I still despise her.

Because whatever they do... they won't be able to bring my dad back. And because of her I feel miserable.

Anna (my little sister) and my mom are down stairs busy with dad's funeral. I'm here in my room, sitting on my bed... in the fear of seeing my dad's dead body.

I've cried enough tears already.

No more crying...

My door creaks open and my little sister steps inside red and poofy eyes.

I guess I wasnt the only one crying that hard.

"Aren't you going down Shelby?" Anna asked while chocking down a tear.

I walk towards Anna and hug her.

I always do this, everytime I know she's about to cry.

"You better let all those tears out Anna. Let them all out until there's no more." I told her.

"I'm gonna miss dad." She says between sobs.

"Me too" I hug Anna tighter.

She's still 8 yrs. Old and yet she lost her father---our father.

But no matter what, I'll protect her and mom.

just as I promised.

*flashback*

Shelby's dad was going on a business trip that day for 2 weeks.

So 6 yr. old Shelby rushed to her dad to say goodbye. "bubye daddy!" *kisses cheek of her dad*
