That night, I lay awake. I mean, how could I sleep?

I get up, giving in to my gut as per usual. I quietly but quickly go to the door, leaving the room and heading to the elevator. I press the button, not hesitating anymore. I know where I'm going now.

I step in and see the button. Floor 21. It exists. I press it and the doors close. The elevator ride felt longer than usual, but the doors opened after a bit. I step out, looking around at the familiar floor. It exists. It exists. It exists. It exists. It exists. It exists.

The imagine of the boy by the window pops into my head and I try to remember what he looked like. I only remember parts of him. He had glasses, he was wearing a black and red hoodie, and his hair was light brown. And his eyes were green. The deepest green I've ever seen. I didn't see much of him, but his eyes said so much even with a glance. Like inviting bottomless pools of acid. They almost looked like they were glowing.

With the thought of him, I walk to the end of the hallway. I make it to the window and put my hand on it, looking down again. It makes my heart speed up once more, but I don't look away

"Hello?" I hear from behind me

I jolt and turn to face whoever is behind me, my hand still on the window. I'm met with the sight of that same boy. He has light brown hair, glasses, very light freckles, and those eyes. Those deep emrald green eyes. He's wearing a red and black hoodie and black ripped jeans with light red socks on. He's looking at me curiously. My hearts speeds up as it does when I look out the window, but this time I don't know why

"Hello" I reply, sounding calmer than I should. "Who are you?" He asks, politely. "I'm Skeppy. Who are you?" I reply, matching his politeness. I don't know why I gave him my alias. He smiles "I'm Bad" he says "It's nice to meet you". "It's nice to meet you, too. What are you doing here?" I ask, unable to look away from him in fear he'll be gone. "I live here. What are you doing here? I've never seen anyone up here before" he asks, eyeing me up and down. "I don't know. I just felt like I should come up here" I reply, realizing how weird that sounds. He doesn't seem to mind "okay!" He replies, giving me a smile

"Why do you live up here? Are you homeless?" I ask, not wanting to end the conversation. I had so many questions. "How can I be homeless if this is my home?" He asks back. "But why is this your home? Is the desk man your dad or something?" I clarify. He shakes his head "I haven't spoken to him in years. I haven't spoken to anyone in years, actually" he says, casually. "What?? Does he know you're up here? Don't you have to eat or something?" I ask, confused. "No and no" he replies, fidgeting. I stay quiet at that

"You should go back down there. It's already daytime" he says, smiling. "What? No it's not, it's dark outside" I say, pointing to the window. "That's wrong. It's daytime" he says, making me confused. "How can a window be wrong? It's not a clock" He ask, making him giggle. "Just go, you muffin. Feel free to come back up here to visit me, though! It was nice having someone to talk to" he says, smiling

I comply and walk back to the elevator, pressing the button. I turn back "bye, Bad. It was nice meeting you" I say, waving. He waves "you too!! Bye Skeppy!" He says, happily. I get in and the door closes

The elevator stops at the floor with a ding as the door opens. I step out and see Zelk and TapL leaving their room. They look over to me. "Zak? Where have you been?" Zelk asks, confused on why I'm up. "What time is it?" I ask, ignoring his question. "Like 8 am" TapL says, checking his watch. Bad was right? But it was dark outside. There's no way

I brush it off when they ask again, and they let it go. We get Vurb and Spifey. "I think we should all check out the hotel. I mean, it's a hotel. There's a gym, a pool, even an arcade! Isn't that sick?" Spifey suggests. We all agree. "I wanna go to the pool first!" Vurb says. Zelkam and TapL agree. "I wanna go to the arcade, screw that. You coming with me, Zak?" Spifey asks me. "Sure, I'm down" I reply, shrugging.
