What Have I Become?- Chapter 1

Amethyst P.O.V.
I looked around the room, and questioned myself where I was. I sat up and realized I had taken a nap at the park. I had been leaning on the tree and listening to music. Suddenly my memory had started coming back. I Stood up and began to walk home, and looked at the beautiful scenery the park had to offer. I exhaled and continued my walk when I noticed someone from my school, shit. I sped walk trying not to catch anyone's attention, but I was eventually noticed.... "Hey you piece of shit!" "Why don't you some over here?" Two guys shouted from across the street. "No thanks!" I shouted back smiling. I chuckled to myself, "Ahhh" I sighed, they actually think I give a flying fuck. The best way to respond to someone talking shit about you is to be extremely nice, at least that was my strategy and it seemed to be working quite well.
After about 10 minutes I had arrived to my house. I unlocked the door and walked, locking the door behind me. I happily skipped to my room and instantly opened my laptop, and put on music from my phone. I spent a few hours on my laptop when I heard a knock on the door, and scurried downstairs. I opened the door to see my mom......she had brought PIZZA!!! "Why hello there mother." I gave her a funny face whilst looking at the pizza in her hands. "Hello." My mother responded with a cheesy smile on her face. She walked in and placed the pizza on the dinner table. I had no siblings and it didn't get too lonely around here considering my best friend came over so oftenXD.
Later, and by 'later' I mean 5 minutes later I decided I should invite my friend over considering I was bored. "Mom I'm gonna' invite Jey over!" I shouted at her from the living room. "Okay!" She responded. I checked the time and realized it was only 6:30pm, and I continued to make my way to his house. It was only five blocks away so I got there in about 5-6 minutes. In no time I had gotten to his house, I knocked on the door waiting for someone to open the door. I then heard the rambling of footsteps, and right I front of me was Jey. "How would you like to come over? We have pizza!" I told him as he invited me in. "Obviously!" He said making a funny face making me giggle. "Bring your pajamas we're having a sleep over." I told him running to his room as he followed. He packed his things in his backpack and yelled at him mom, "Mom, mom, mo-!" Finally his mom answered, "Yes?" "I'm going to Misty's house!!" He shouted back. (Misty is Amethyst's nickname)
We made our way out and started our stroll. "How has school been?" I asked Jey as he looked at me. "It's been sucky!" He said dramatically putting his hands up. "That sounds great!" I said sarcastically. Jeydon has been my best friend ever since I can remember. My mom and his mom are pretty good friends and that's how we met. We have pictures of us together as toddlers....I chuckled lightly. "What are you smilin' about?" Jeydon asked in curiosity as a smiled spread a cross his face. "Just thinking about the pictures my mom has of us when we where toddlers." I started laughing. "Oh god!" He said as he face-palmed himself and laughed along with me.

Jeydon P.O.V.
We walked for a few minutes and had got to her house, and burst end out laughing along the way talking about all the baby pictures. "Sto- p!" Misty said in between breaths. "My stomach- it hurts." I started laughing more until I fell to the floor. As the door opened, "Enjoying yourselves?" Ms. Clark grinned and let us in. We ran inside today the pizza that had been untouched, and it had a pepperoni topping! We dashed upstairs after we had ate pizza. "We should watch a movie." I suggested. "Ok, but what type of movie?" "Hmmmm......let's watch a horror movie!" I exclaimed. "Kay..." She responded while she looked for a movie on her laptop. "Got it!" Misty said with sass and snapped her her fingers. "Well then put the movie on." I said anxiously letting myself fall on my back, which was okay since we were on her bed. We laid down and watched the movie, "Hold me Jey!" Misty exclaimed hugging me. I laughed, "Calm down you scaredy cat." She looked me straight in the eyes and slapped my face. "Owwwwww!" I said jokingly.
Later Misty had fallen asleep it was about 12:00am although I stayed awake on my phone. I took a picture of Misty sleeping and I and posted it on Piñata. Description: With the BFF✌️🌌. I posted and people quickly started replying, "You guys would make a cute couple." I laughed, "Oh Misty they think we would make a great couple." Let me clear this up Misty and I would never go out. I heard Misty move around as she opened her eyes, but they were half closed. "Jey go to sleep..." She sounded groggy. "But I'm not sleepy!" I said faking a frown. Misty grabbed me and pulled me into a hug, "I said to go to sleep Jey." I heard a chuckle come from her. "Fine." I said with a bit of sass.

Amethyst P.O.V.
Oh Jey, I thought to myself, he sure is a handful. I went back to sleep, and had an awfully odd dream. I opened my eyes and checked my phone it was 8:45am, well ain't I up early. I looked over at Jeydon, and walked to my closet and took out my black high wanted shorts, Sleeping with Sirens crop top, and my hightop converse. I ran to the bathroom quietly and opened the door. It made a loud creaking noise....I then locked the door and showered. I took a good half an hour, and after that I dried myself off. I slipped on my clothes and dried my hair. I put my hair in a bun and I put a red bandana on. I grabbed my necklace and my wristbands, and I remembered that Jey and I had matching best friend bracelets. They were batman bracelets that said, "partners in crime".
I returned back to my room, and was surprised to see Jey was awake. "Morning!" Jeydon shouted to me with enthusiasm. "Jey go take a shower we're going somewhere!" I said anxiously jumping around. "Okay..." He sat up tiredly. I walked to the kitchen and served myself some cereal. I quickly ate and went on my phone as I waited patiently for Jey. Jeydon took a quick shower and put on his Spider Man shirt and hoodie, black jeans, and his regular shoes. He came and joined me in the living room, "Are you ready?" I asked him excitedly. "Yup!" I grabbed my bag and we headed out the door.
We had been walking for a while until we had finally arrived to our destination. We walked into a GameStop to see if the Sims4 was there. "Jey I found it!" I said a bit too loudly. Jeydon came over happily, grabbed the game, and then lined up. I waited behind him and a guy came over to talk to me, "Hey are you a fan of the Sims?!" He asked anxiously. "I'm a huge fan actually." I answered confidently. "Cool, we should hang out sometime..." He suggested awkwardly. "We should, but I didn't catch your name..." "Oh, my name is Max!" He grinned. "My name is Amethyst." I responded back. "Here's my phone number." He said pulling a pen out of him pocket and jotting down his number on my hand. "Thanks." I smiled politely. "No problem." He winked at me, and he was actually cute. "Come on Misty!" Jeydon shouted tugging on my arm, and practically dragging me out of the store before I could say bye. "I didn't even get to say bye..what if he thinks I'm rude?" I asked nervously. "Don't worry about it." Jeydon told me reassuringly.

Jeydon P.O.V.
We started walking back home when I glanced over at Misty. She looked dead, her face was expressionless, and she looked sad. I then thought about the way she looked, and I remembered that I use to look like that when I was depressed. I petted her head, "It's okay, I'm here remember that." I smiled at her as she gave me an apologetic look. I started wondering why she had given me that look....and by the time I snapped out of my thoughts we were home.
We entered the house and it had been freezing inside. "Jeydon it's not okay and I'm not alright..." She frowned and was instantly filled with tears. "I've been hiding it for so long-" She choked while crying, "I've been trying to be happy and confident, but I can't." She fell to the floor, and It made me question what had happened to the strong willed and happy girl I knew. I picked her up and carried her to her bed. "I'd rather be-" I cut her off right there. "Don't go on saying things like that, and it will be okay." I said hugging her tightly. "I wouldn't want to live in a world without my best friend."
She started sobbing uncontrollably. "How long have you've been hiding it?" I asked hesitantly. "Almost the whole year..." "Jey, I'm so freaking sorry I let you down." "You're a bright eyed beautiful girl, and I want you to know that." I told her while removing the hair from her face and putting it behind her ear. She bawled until she fell asleep in my arms and I had laid her down.
I watched her sleep for a moment then thought to myself, what could it have been that made her like this? I got on my phone and started to think of how I could make her feel better....then I remembered that I could use IG. I took a picture on IG and in the description I asked everyone if they could go send support to her @[insert username]. People instantly started replying, thank god. I laid down, put my arm around her, and fell asleep quickly.
My eyes shot open when I saw Misty crying silently by herself. "Misty what's wrong?" I asked worriedly. "I tried to act like it was all okay Jey-" She wiped her tears off her cheeks. "I tried to feel confident and brush off anything someone said to me.." "But I let their words get to me." I thought to myself... "Misty will it make it better if I transfer to your school?" I asked her quietly. "Jey, I think it's best if I go...." "Go where?!" I started shaking. "You know what I mean..." "Personally I think things are better if you stay." I hugged her. She held back her tears and said, "Jey I always want you to be by my side." "Then I'll transfer to your school." I told her excitedly. "But you better hang out with me or else I'm gunna be lonely." I chuckled and she have a bleak smile.
