MACKENZIE P.O.V.

I come out the bathroom and see Nick ordering a drink. Oh my god what is he doing here? How did he know I was in North Carolina? Is he going to rape me this time? So many questions were popping up in my head. I just walked fast to Hayes and try not to make eye contact. Hayes was outside Starbucks talking to a boy. "Hey Mackenzie!" I hear some one yelling my name. I turn around and see Nick. "What are you doing here! Leave me alone" I said whispering/yelling. "Wooh calm down baby girl. I told you I was coming back for you." He said with a smirk on his face. "Just le-leave me alone."I say stuttering a little. I turn around to Hayes but then he grabs my wrist. "Or what?" Nick asks. "Or you have to deal with me!" I hear someone yell to Nick.

Mackenzie POV
Then I see Hayes standing behind Nick with his fist into like a ball. "This is why you left me alone in California? To be with this lozer!" Nick said laughing. Hayes then punched Nick in the nose. Nick was bleeding so much. Nick was so furious right now. Nick tried to punch Hayes but failed. I kicked him the balls. If he had any. Nick then fell on the ground and I said "that's what you get you ass hoe." "Let's go." Hayes said grabbing my hand. We rush to the car and go back to his house. The car ride was a little awkward. "Thank you." I said holding Hayes hand. "For what?" Hayes asked. "For protecting me." I told him. "I would always protect you baby. I would always be here for you. I would kill any mother fucker who tries to touch you." Hayes said giving me a kiss on the lips. "Who was that ass hoe anyway?" Hayes asked me. "Can we talk about this at your house?" I asked. "Sure whatever you want my princess." He said. When we came back to the house we just cuddled and watched some movies. "Can we watch Clueless?" I asked him. "Ugh babe!" Hayes whined. "Come on please!" I said with a puppy face. "Fine." He said. I was happy now. I put the DVD in the DVD Player and went back to bed to cuddle with Hayes. We were watching the movie until Hayes interrupted the movie by asking "When are you going to tell about that ass hoe at Starbucks?" I get the remote control turn off the tv and say "Right Now." I told him everything about Nick. Not missing any detail. I was crying a little while I was telling him. "Hey hey baby don't worry. I'm here to protect you now. No one can hurt you anymore." Hayes said. We cuddled again and began to watch the movie again. When I was in his arms I felt safe and alive. I felt like nothing in this world can hurt me when I'm in his arms. He was my everything.

Hayes POV
I felt really bad after she told me the story. I hate that ass hoe! I would do anything for Mackenzie. I love her so much. When she was telling me the story she felt a little a scared and nervous.but I wanted her to feel safe. She was about to go to sleep so I told her "I love you." And put her chin up and gave her a little peck on the lips. " I love you too my hero." She told me. She fell asleep with a smile. She just called me her hero. That makes me feel the luckiest teenage boy on earth. We both fell asleep but I fell asleep with a smile on my face.
